Scam?

I'm trying to sell my saddle, i've had a few people email me, usually just one liners asking for more pics, etc, but i opened this one today and am kinda unsure if i should respond or not.
i have a lady that's going to look at it today, but this email makes me kinda uneasy....
here's what it said:
Hello, I came across your ads via the internet and i'm willing to buy your Saddle.I will like to know the present condition ,the exact price you want to offer and payment by a cashier's check will be ok.Also,i will like to know the arrangement for the pick up at your location though i've a reliable carrier who will come to your location for the pick up of the Ad.I will want you to take the picture of the Ad using your digital camera if you have one..Get back to me immediately if you still have it for sale. Here waiting for your response. Thanks.

what do you all think?

SCAM -- who pays with a cashier's check and uses a "reliable carrier" to pick up a saddle?

Yep, that's a scam. It's worded weird and punctuation is horrible.

I had one of those and we HTers had some fun with it and played along. I now have an envelope full of Travler's Checks for $400 ea to the tune of $5000. Genuine Traveler's Checks do not exceed $200 denominations.

Rule of thumb with the internet - if you feel the need to ask someone else "do you think this is a scam?"

Then the answer is yes.

Oh YEAH. That is SO a true-blue scam. Crappy grammar, strange language, the use of the word "will" instead of "would", and the "reliable carrier" to whom you're supposed to pay... SCAM. Buddy is probably sitting in an internet cafe in Kenya, firing off emails to anyone with everything from a kitchen table to an elephant for sale.

Now, if you want to, reply to him, and have a little fun

That sounds like almost the exact same wording that was used by someone replying to an ad I have for a horse. I checked the IP address. It was from Lagos. I saw it for a scam from the second I saw it.
