Best Place to Sell a Saddle

What website or places do you all have the best luck trying to sell your tack, particularly saddles. I have two that I need to sell and have not gotten any really interested buyers. I think that they are priced appropriately and I'm only selling because I don't need them. Maybe its the ads??? Here's the link to the ads:

Thanks everyone!

In all honesty, I think you have them priced too high (esp.#2) You said buyer pays for shipping, well, shipping is a good chunk of change for a saddle. All my magazines I have been getting are offering free shipping on saddle purchases.

Maybe you can put the saddles on a horse outside in the light and you will get a more true picture of the saddle (esp. the color).

All else fails, put them on EBAY.

Put flyers up w. pics at feed stores. Advertise in the newspaper and / or local horse magazine.

Do you have any local shows that you could go to?? Maybe set them up at a local show with a pricetag on them and see if the announcer will announce where you are set up at and that you have some saddles for sale. They do it at our local shows all the time.

I like www.tacktrader.com. I "window shop" on there quite a bit.

I'd buy your cheaper saddle if I was shopping. I wouldn't buy a JTI. With the downturn in the horse market there is a flood of saddles for sale. It's a buyer's market right now.

Craigslist! I am a craigslist addict, the San Diego outreach is great, but I don't know about other places o.O. I've never had anything on there for more then a week, even with the bad market.

I would also try shows and flyers in feedshops.

I have only sold a couple of saddles, usually I trade them in to trade up, but I just put my second one on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Buena-Vista-Plan...QQcmdZViewItem

I bought a cheap Aussie off ebay one time and then turned around and resold it on ebay, after riding it for a couple of months, and it sold for more money used than I paid for it new. The good thing about ebay is you put out there what ever your least acceptable amount is and then people bid it up from there.

Just wanted to update. This is the second saddle that sold on Ebay for more than I paid for the saddle. I would say if you have a good quality saddle this is the place to sell it. It's also fast because your auction is only open for a certain amount of time.
