Saddle Care

I just picked up my new saddle, it's a GW Saddle and I love it. It's used, no way can I afford a new anything!

Any who, the skirt of it is totally hair on and it's a bit dusty. Does anyone know how to clean it? Should I use shampoo and water or just a mild soap and water or just water or what?

I'm going to assume it's a leather saddle and recommend this basic article.

I know how to take care of the leather part of it, it's the part with the hair on it I am not sure about. Guess I'll try a stiff brush and see what happens.

can you vacumm it? i vacumed the underside of mine and worked ok. didnt get it all but got most.
