Clippers

I'm looking for some new clippers, and I was wondering what kind everyone else prefers. I'm sick of getting junk clippers! I'd like to get both a corded one and a cordless, so PLEASE let me know what kind you guys have had the best luck with. I really appreciate it!

Just the little stuff; ears, muzzle, bridle path, etc. No body clipping.

I've heard that the pocket pro is good for touch ups.

I have a pair of the Wahl Arco cordless clippers and have been pleased with them. We just do bridle paths and muzzles, etc. I've had them a couple of years and haven't changed the blade yet. They are pretty durable.

I LOVE my Oster A -5s but I use them alot.
I also have a pair of the similar Andis AGC clippers. They are nice also.
They are both pricey but will last you years!

I would say if you want decent clippers that will hold up for not as much money as those , the Wahl Stable Pro is a nice clipper.
If you like cordless the Arco or mini Arco is a good choice.

I wouldn't waste my money on some of those $30-$40 clippers.

I use Oster's cordless clippers. Once you get cordless you will never go back to cords. I love them for everything. They are a great clipper and about $200 but last very well. I have bodyclipped 8 horses and show clipped at least twice that number since I got them and they are still going strong. I tend to blow out clippers pretty fast but these are lasting.

I have a pair of the pocket pros. They were good for just a couple of uses, then they went dull, and the power was lost in the clippers. A waste of money in my opinion.

I have a pair of the Wahl Stable Pros and with just doing standard clipping (bridle path, ears, muzzle, fetlocks/feet) monthly on 9 horses, they have lasted pretty good. Plus my boarders feel free to use them, so I don't get real upset if something happens to them. I really like the Oster 200s, but after having a boarder drop them and kill them, I'm not up to paying the big bucks for clippers any more.

I had picked out a few pair that I was considering, one was the Wahl Stable Pros and the other were the new Oster cordless. I haven't seen any really bad reviews yet so, that's good. I'm going to check into your other suggestions first though. I still have a little while before show season so, luckily no rush.

Oster cordless-and have had mine for 8 years.
I bodyclip with them and do touch ups. They come with 2 "heads " and a charger so as one winds down the other charges.
i have not lookd back since.
I did replace one 'head" it took a flying leap to the floor. I got a replacement on Ebay WITH clipper blades on it for 70 bucks.
