Cordless clippers?

This year I am going to give my husband a Christmas list, so I do not have to endure another gift like - a chocolate fountain, or funnel cake maker, smore's oven, etc.
Just not my kind of thing - will gladly trade these items for tack though!
Anyway, I really could use a pair of clippers. Has anyone used cordless?
Any reccomendations?

We use cordless clippers. I like them becuz you don't have to worry about a dang cord and they can be used anywhere as long as they are charged.

We use Osters cordless clippers. They work great and you don't have to worry about the cord getting in the way.

Just bought my other half (for his birthday <vbg>) a set of Wahl Arco SE cordless clippers. A friend of mine loved hers and I researched them on horsetackreview.com and they got great reviews. Have only clipped three bridle paths with them - but they cut them like soft butter. I do not body clip, and cannot imagine that they could do a good job there, but they light weight, a smidge quieter than my A5's and very handy

I've always been wary of cordless clippers because I've heard that they don't pack as much power as those with cords. Plus, I'd always be worried that they'll die in the middle of my clip job! I've personally never used them, but if you get a long enough extension cord I don't find the cord that annoying. If you're not body clipping or doing intense clip jobs, I guess cordless would be okay.

OK here you go-you can print this page out for Hubby.
I have had a set of these for about 9 years now. I have had to replace one of the heads[it went flying to the ground when I dropped it ]
there are 2 heads so you use one and when juice runs low you pick up the other one and put the weak one back on to charge. The heads run for about a half hour and they recharge in about 15 minutes.
I love them-I have the wide blades[optional] and body clip my beasties-all in all I love them.
I give them 2 thumbs up.
I will never go back to corded..I have even clipped on my horse as he wandered around munching grass in the paddock.

Each year, in early November my father would hand each of us a lined piece of foolscap (the long sheets of paper) and we had to itemize, including prices, everything we hoped to get for Christmas. Pricewise it included your wildest hope to the one dollar items. It was interesting how, during the six weeks preceeding Xmas, our lists changed. Something would be scribbled out and a new item added. Our parents bot our presents from the lists, within their budget.

I have decided this year to just skip the list and skip the middle man, I am shopping for and buying my own gifts......wrapping them myself and putting them under the tree, from hubby, and kids........Im tired of the xxxxl sponge bob pj pants with a xs t-shirt and frying pans/vacume cleaner.
And I'm liking the clippers idea.

I have some Wahl Pro Series clippers that can be used with a cord or without and I'm pretty happy with them. (They're only $40-50.) I like to use them cordless for quick bridle paths or for clipping ears so I don't have to fuss with the cord up there (and they're quieter that way), and with the cord they're plenty powerful for clipping legs and tummies. The only thing is that they don't clip for very long without the cord. I just saw a new corded/cordless clipper the other day for only about $10-20 more that said they could clip for 1-2 hours cordless, but I don't remember the brand now.

We have a whal, not sure which ones, but they're cordless, and goldish-silver in body color. They come with an adjustable blade and two batteries. I LOVE THEM. THey are super cool, cut like butter, and are way quieter than the A5s. I use them for the broodmares and just do them out in the pasture, no halter or anything they're so quiet (no, I'm not doing ears, lol).
