I say go for HOT PINK, she looks like she'll shed out black so a bright color would look great on her! I have one of those medium pink halters from weaver that I put on a BS black mare last night for pictures and she looked great in it.

OhmyGod! I think that purple saddle burned a hole in my retinas. Even when I close my eyes it's still there!

KJUN- I think your filly is so awesome. I LOVE her markings especially her face and she is built like a brickhouse. I am not nuts about the purple either. I think something bright will just take away from that filly's natural beauty! lol I think just a new woven navaho saddle pad in neutral tones with a minimalist pattern (is that aconfusing description? LOL) will look awesome on her. I have been checking out what they have on ebay and there is quite a selection on there.

color

Yep! Purple just doesn't work. Maybe a dark oil leather?? So, it doesn't take away from the bright colors of the horse, that's prob. why it clashed. Maybe if you go with a darker color it would not stand out as much. These are just some suggestions. I hope that you find the right color for your very beautiful paint. Good Luck!

I want that purple saddle and set. Where did you see it?

I'd say try baby blue or yellow.

What about red? I think red would look good on her, I don't think you can get a red saddle, but a red or red/black saddle blanket and red halter would look good on her.

As a Matter of fact.... I do have a lot fo time on my hands. LOL
I am just sitting in Germany waiting on my household goods to get packed so I can move home to be with my beautiful horses..Only 17 more days If the Army is right on the time frame. All of my house work is finished by 8am and then I play on this computer for the rest of the day usually as my teenage girls are out with friends most of the time since they are leavig soon and I play with my doggies and read alot fo HT and a few other places and play with the paint shop pro until time to cook for the husband and the girls get home...Yes I lead a very busy life Yeah Right. can't wait to get back to the horses.

Appygurl...The purple saddle is at a place on line here is the web site
http://www.samsfeed.com/ they are under horses and are really good prices from what I was told.

I Love my leather saddle on my mare but it didn't do it for me on the filly, I guess what looks good on one doesn't always do it for another.

Awesome Paints... she was born black and white and I mean as black as you could get then turned I guess bay but I am not color expert and she is shedding still...I Hope she sheds to be black but if not it is ok...

alihspharaoh..I like the purple too but not on her. LOL

kindredspiritsia...actually you could try this out with your hair as long as you know how to make the program work. It is pretty easy

Mule Fool...Yeah I knid of know what you mean...my husband said it is hidious and makes her look like a hooker LOL that was kind of mean

nadia...THANK YOU, you as well have a beautiful girl, by the way how is she doing? and I thought the same thing about the color taking away from her beauty...after thinking on it most of the night I was thinkig of a navaho print saddlepad but I am leaning towards a black saddle or light color, not sure if they make a buckskin colored saddle but we will see. I have a lot of catalogs to look in. I will look at your listings

Ashlee8033..Yes Thank you as well

Sundance. I was thinkning red and black as well as I really like red and black...I did see a red saddle one time at an auction and I do know someone who makes saddles and he could make me one Red LOL

QHJewel672..Lime Green is a cool color too but haven't found anything so far

THANKS
KJUN (KAREN)

I also wanted to say as I am anywhere from 6 to 9 hours differnt then most people here on HT in time..I am awake while most of you are asleep so I get bored and find things to do like make the photos and see what I like and what not ...there are alot of other things I have done and my mother as well she is really good at making personal photos with this program In fact she took my photo (one fo me) and added my mare and my filly to it and now I am having it made into an airbrushed T-Shirt..Yep
I will add it here so you can see. I am proud of this photo she made for me ....
This is the personal photo my mom made for me I am not as good at making these as she Is

I know it is OFF subject of thread but I wanted to share

Have A Wonderful Day

For Christmas I got a lime green nylon set for my barrel racing, and I LOVE IT ON EVERY HORSE WE OWN!! We have a THW horse whose black and white and he looks sharp in green. My chestnut and sorrel look great and our bay paint looks good too. SO I say lime green for Cher.
Here's a pic of mine (I also have a black barrel saddle to go with it)
the tack

and them my son trying my new saddle ( I wish you could see the detail- its barbed wire trimmed, with silver and rawhide --I'm so proud)

Hey don't worry KJUN she probably is black still.
in this heat-even a black horse that IS a black horse can fade.
Mine does and he is black. The heat causes excessive sweatng and the salts react with the hair-it sux. Keep MighTe in and he is coal black.
You can out any color on a flashy black-just pic one you like and pick a simple pattern or solid[best I think]
She is going to be a beauty-may as well skip the basics and go ahead and invest in a show saddle

Yes T-MOM I also thought about that as I do want to show her but I have to admit and I am a little over it I know nothing about Showing lol I have been thinking of hiring someone to help me show her and train me and my daughter on the showing thing.

I do have a Show Saddle Picked out but it cost Like $4000. and If I remember correctly that is used But someday I will have it somehow...I will just have to work really hard to get it but It will all be worth it. Thank you for all of the support and sorry to look and sound really stupid.

that's sure a nice picture your Mom did. I vote with a touch of red, I guess I'm alittle conservative in the color department, but I really like red and black on blacks and bays. sounds like you're having fun.
