Gaited horse saddles (Western)

Anyone out there have any experiences with gaited horse saddles? What brand/s do you like and is it leather or synthetic?

In my opinion, we ride foxtrotters and the best saddle I've ever ridden is my fiance's Billy Cook Roughout flat seat 16 " saddle. You would think a padded saddle would be more comfortable on the trail but for some weird reason, I find his fits me better and it sits the horse better, does not ride too high on the withers or shift on me either. It is lighter weight and easier for me to tack up with yet I don't have to comprimise my taste for leather as I don't care for synthetic. I will get years worth of use as well.
I believe it is a trail saddle as it does not have the thin horn like a cutter does.
