What's the best horse clippers? Quietest?
My horse clips well but is really bothered by clipping inside his ears. What brand of clippers are the best? Oster, Wahl, or Andis or Other? Which are the most quiet and smooth?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

I bought a 2 pk Wahl clipper set with the cordless, rechargeable battery body trimmer. . . and the pocket pro.
Even though I have no clue how to use them I'm still not that satisfied with the set. I may be using the wrong blades, but it seems like they always get caught and/or pull hair. They are also labeled as 'quiet', but they sure don't hum

I don't think any of them are great for being quiet on a sensitive horse, but you can try stuffing the JUMBO cotton balls in his ears. Make sure you get the really big ones. It helps keep the little clippings from getting down in there too.

Andis are the quietest I have seen. I have a pair that I bought 10yrs ago that are still going strong and have never had one minutes problem out of them... I think they are the AG2 model a 2 speed clipper. Oh and they don't get hot quickly either.

One of my boarders bought a Wahl Stable Mate (I think) and they are QUIETTTT. I have a whal cordless with the rechargeable batteries and they are MUCH qieter than my laubes.
But honestly most horses are picky about thier ears, no matter how quiet the clippers are. Instead of causeing so much grief for you and your horse just put on a twitch and get it done fast and easy. Some people may disagree but I have a horse that would throw me into a wall without one.
