Bob Marshall Treeless questions

For those of you treeless lovers how long did it take you to get used to it?

I just bought a barely broke in one and it is a little long for my short back gaited horse. If I can get used to it I want to order one with a rounded skirt. It is the only saddle that has fit him in the withers and he is comfortable with the shoulder movement it allows.

I feel like when he bends the saddle pops up (maybe the square corner is hitting his hip) and I don't feel secure. I am using the reccomended pad (equipedic?) which also is not broken in yet.

It also makes me a little nervous because you can feel every movement which I am not used to so I think I over react thinking my somewhat green horse is going to shy or something.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
