Winter riding boots?

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on good winter riding boots. I've got a huge problem with staying warm in the winter and it doesn't take long for my fingers and toes to go completely white while riding, even with the warmest clothing!
We've already had our first snow and freezing temps and that can last till as long as May
So, if anyone has had any experience with an exceptionally warm riding boot, I'd love to hear it!

I was told to buy bogs but I still don't think I will ride in the winter....

I see you live in AZ ... How cold can it get where I live we can get -20 easily and be lucky to see 20 above for a high!

My hooves are always cold too. I love pac boots. Cabela's has them for $89. I wear them with a base pair of moisture wick away socks (they are very thin). I wear a pair of polar fleece socks over them. The boots have liners which you take out so it can dry if needed until you wear them again. I've found these boots to be super warm.

I always have to put those hot hands I buy from Wal Mart in my boots and in my gloves!

I wish I knew the name of mine. They are so comfy & warm! I got them at the co-op but I can't even find an emblem or anything on them to tell you what they are.

I wear Mountain Horse winter paddock boots - they really help keep my feet warm. And, I can always wear warmer socks with them, too, so they're really toasty.

I wear my Yamaha snowmobile boots- they are actually slender enough to fit in a stirrup, and warm warm warm!

Lol, yeah I know. Arizona's not supposed to be cold, but the part of N. AZ where I live houses the highest peaks at over 12000 ft. It was 10 degrees the other night and it's barely Nov...AND I grew up in S. California so I'm really not adapted to the cold
Thanks for all the suggestions! I've been looking up all kinds of boots, but you never really know what you're getting till you've got a decent review of it. I do have plenty of those hot hands tho!

I have these: http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp?pn=X1-38624&tid=froogle&CATALOG_CODE=1X814&EID=X1814001& zmam=1460880&zmas=1&zmac=49&zmap=X1-38624&bhcd2=1257047882

At the time I bought them, I could only find them for $120 online. I found mine on Ebay, brand new for $60. They keep my feet toasty warm. I also got a chance to test out their waterproofedness (is that a word?) when the 20" of snow we got Tues.-Thurs. melted Fri-Sat., creating lots of mud and puddles. My feet stayed toast dry and warm, even in snow-melt puddles and deep mud at my barn.

Having ridden in -30 my suggestion is to find boots with real rubber soles, not the thermal plastic. Sorel put out a good winter boot with a rubber foot and nylon tops with a good liner. I wore mine sockless. This I learned from pilots who's planes have no heat. Posting at the trot helps keep the circulation going in your feet. I also use soft Hamilton nylon reins which enable me to put my hands in my pockets while still holding the reins. Often as not I'd just put a knot in them and hook them over the horn.

Dsides, you've got lots of options now, but for fun, check out the Mountain Horse website.

Be REALLY careful with winter riding boots; they often have thicker soles and/or taller toes, so are MUCH easier to get wedged/stuck in a stirrup. You may need to get larger stirrups or safety stirrups to still be safe in them.

A friend was given a pair of Sorel's and her hubby will remove the lugs in the sole until they are almost smooth. Here's something to absorb. I used to wonder how our native Americans could keep their feet warm with moccasins and a thin liner. Out of curiosity I donned a pair with light wool socks. The snow has to be dry but I was astounded as to how warm my feet were. Not if I stood around, the trick is to keep moving. The leather allows the moisture from the feet to escape. With snow, roughout leather is better than smooth and made from moose hide.

I LOVEEEE mine, they are (I believe) Tuff Rider boots, not the most expensive ever (about $80) and so warm and durable, but not to bulky

I have the Mountain Horse Rimfrost Paddock boots. They are really warm, but they are so stiff! I bought these boots about 5 years ago and they just will not break in or soften up! I use the hot shot warmers inside my boots and mittens for extra warmth.

I also wanted to add that I change my stirrups in the winter time to larger ones to accomodate my bigger winter boots.

Wow, thanks everyone for all of the suggestions and advice! I'm almost looking forward to riding this winter knowing I'm not going to freeze my toes off this time!
