What are these worth???

Im selling these I dont show and have never used them. They came with a saddle I bought and so they have been just sitting around collecting dust. What do you think they are worth? I dont know much about brands on headstalls...so I have no idea what brand they are. They have the texas star on them....any ideas what to price them at as a set?

What kind of quality leather are they? The headstall looks nicer than the breast collar, but if they are part of the set I am assuming that they are the same quality, so I think the price depends on the quality of the silver and the leather.

Not sure how much they are worth in your area. It's easier to tell when you can touch and look at the leather close up

Looks like you've got the bit on backwards.

I have a show saddle and all the junk to go with it Briddle and bit, breast strap. rear girt, bit, and saddle. Same as new. it was around 500 new for everything, like I said mines same as new been on 3-4 horses for pictures only very little riding. I'de take $250 for the whole rig. It looks to be very similar, in fact nearly the same, I could use your pics to sell mine.
And ""YES"" the bits on backwards.

Ya...I was looking at that earlier...someone did put the bit on backwards I have never had it on a horse...so its pretty much brand new. The leather is perfect. Its soft yet strong. Ive kept it oiled for the most part...incase I ever wanted it for a parade or something which never happened. It is a set...as you can see the black (paint?) or whatever it was(as you can tell I have no idea what Im talking about) has came off on the texas stars on the breast collar...other than that its in perfect shape....just a guesstimate would be helpful

I don't think that it is an exact matching set. The breastcollar looks a little different to me, but I can't see the star detail that well. It is also not basket stamped like the headstall. The leather seems to be a little cheaper and the bling bling not as...solid. Something is just off.

The headstall just looks like it is much better quality. I have a headstall that looks exactly like that, it is made by Weaver leather.

I think that as a set, with the bit and everything, it'd be worth $125-150 most of that because of the headstall and bit. Start high on Craigslist, then work your way down in price in $20 increments until you start to get a lot of interest. That is how I get stuff sold

I would think $150 may be alittle high, if it in fact it is same stufff as the set I've got. Like I said I was asking $250 for the saddle and everything briddle, breast ect. But good luck. A year or two ago "no problem", but in these distressed times here in Tennessee, you'de better take what you can get. Always remember the best time to sell anything,is when you have a buyer, so don't miss a sale over a couple of bucks. Good luck, and Happy Trails

It is not a matched set, but very close to one !! The bridle has basket weave design and the breast collar doesn't.

$150 maybe in my area, if that.

Looks to be either a Showman set or from Royal King..
this is low end tack.. the silver is not real and the bit is not a high quality..
I have seen these sets on CL in my ares that don't sell for $100 (with out the bit)
Also to detract from the set more I don't think they are a set.. the conchos look different from the headstall to the bridle..
I would list the set for $125 and see what happens

So...$70...is way to cheap? I had a lady offer me $60 for the set....but its also the only inquiry I have gotten on them...what to do? I could use the money but I would like to get more than that for them!

I'd take the 60 bucks and run. It looks to be import quality so even if you stick to the 70 that is a fair range for it.

I have had a very nice custom headstall, breast collar made out of top quality leather new and never used. I asked 100 for it and got no takers.

The bridle appears to be of a better quality leather than the breastplate. Jeffer's has a similar bridle for about $50 but their matching breastplate doesnt match yours. I'd ask $75 and maybe she'll pay that.

I don't think the breastplate is an exact match. I have almost the same headstall. I don't remember what we paid for it. My matching breastplate looks quite abit different than that, much thicker for one thing. The headstall wasn't cheap, that much I remember likely around the $200-250 range, so in that mid-range. If it is the same kind, which it looks to be. Mine isn't the one ear one though. I doubt this even helps...just my two cents.
