UPdate on Sunshine!! AQHA Filly

I brought Sunshine home on July 26th, She is a AQHA Yearling Filly, We have started off very well together, Considering neither of us had any experience.

At our first show doing Yearling Halter on August 10th, Sunshine and I placed 2nd out of 4. She had not been clipped and would not jog with me, but she placed over 2 other yearlings who definately looked very well groomed and pampered.

At our 2nd show on August 16th we placed 1st to my delight! I was extremely happy and Sunshine was looking her best, clipped, banded and now jogging beside me wonderfully! We were placed above a major AQHA breeder in our area who had brought out her best yearling. I was grinning all over inside.

I just wanted to share a little and please check back for updates.

One pic of Sunsine at home

And a few not so great shots of us after our class, Taken by a friend of mine who was hurrying to get her horses ready.

Congrats on your wins, you guys both look great! I'm curious if I know the local breeder - that's pretty impressive that you beat them out

On another note: We live fairly close, and I'm sure will run into each other somewhere along the line. It's really neat when you know a lot of the same breeders, vets, farriers, etc
