2008 Spottacular show

We had a great time! I took Weebo (Zippos Mighty Bond) and Snuffles (Mr. Highwood King) and my friend took her paint mare Foxy (Boss My Foxy Sox). I took Weebo in Non-Pro Stallions, where he was 2nd, and Yearling Stallions where he was 2nd again. We also did Hunter In Hand, something that I'd never done, and we didn't practice. But. it turned out OK, we were 3rd. With Snuffles, it went not too badly either. He's a bit forward for HUS and WP, but I was very pleased with him anyways. He took home two 5ths and two 6ths. There are only a few shots that turned out, since the show got rained out and we had to move inside...but here ya go!

Weebo

Snuffles

And, for good measure, our freshly renovated trailer! We put in hardwood floor and a custom cabinet

Holy smokes, is Weebo ever looking good, and BIG! He's a yearling now right? How tall is he?! Snuffles is really nice looking too . Congratulations!

When people mention placings, I always can't help but wonder for example, 2nd out of how many? Like if Snuffles took a 5th out of 20, that's great, but if it was a 5th, out of 5, well not quite as much . Anyhow, I was never sure if it was polite to ask or not though

ABgirl, you may ask - there were only 2 of us in Weebo's 2 classes But, to be fair, he's not a halter horse and the other horse clearly was. It was a 15hh+ yearling that was bred for halter and only that. But, I was happy with how he behaved. There were 4 in the HIH class. Snuffles took his placings with more than 7 in each class, can't recall the exact #'s but he wasn't last

Weebo is 14.2hh at the hip now, and yes he's a yearling! I adore his temperament, can't wait to ride him!

Here is one last pic of Snuffles -

Thanks! Although my colt didn't win, he was amazing as usual and I can't wait to show him as a 2yo!! Snuflfes was good too, he's just somewhat outhorsed. But, I take comfort in knowing he's happy doing his job, whereas many of the winning horses are machines...:S

I'd expect that of one of your horses, but isn't it sad that those beautiful animals get like that? Poor things. I think we need an intervention

Kahlua, we have a stock trailer that we were thinking we might be able to build some kind of removable room so we could have living quarters in it. We don't want to spend the money on one of those horse trailers with living quarters. Did you do that or what did you do?

It's sad to see what some of the people do to their horses when they don't win - the yanking and spurring was ridiculous, and the horse seemed to be empty. I have no doubt he'll only have one more show season before he's moving on...sad. At least mine will be happy and healthy and willing to please until they're in their 20's!

Our trailer had a "living quarter" already - basically it was a carpeted dressing room. We added the cabinet and hardwood floors to fancy it up I have no doubt that you could add a room of some kind to a stock trailer though, and do the floor and whatnot like we did. If you take some pics, I can give you my best ideas

Oh, and Ivy can come and visit any time, but I don't think Weebo even knows he has weebles yet I'll definitely be at Warren this weekend with Snuffles...Weebo is done showing for the summer, but Snuffles has many more to go!

I kind of forgot they were on the same weekend :S No, we're going to Warren, since Snuffles is in the running for year-end awards
