Super excited!!

Me and Gus made it to state in everything
Its Labor Day Weekend. We will be going in barrels, figure eight, one barrel, and poles.

I cannot wait!!! We were fairly competitive at the local shows, so I am hoping that with some practice in this next month, we have a shot at placing at state.

Of course, I will bring pictures when that time comes, for all you picture-holics

I'm gonna try and work him daily and just get him good, responsive, and legged up by state. Tonight I worked with my friend Caitlin... we got in the round pen and talked and long trotted and loped circles for almost an hour.
It was great fun for us cause we generally work our horses alone. I think the horses enjoyed having a buddy to work with, too.

Anyway, I will let you all know how it goes

Best wishes-
Brandi

State saddle club show? YAY! I will be there on friday showing in Halter, Trail, Western Pleasure, and Hunter Under Saddle. Last year I got 10th, 9th, 12th, and 5th, respectively. I hope that I place a little better this year, but only time will tell. Good Luck, and maybe I will see you there!!!

Oh, what club are you from?? I show at Wilson county, so I have a little hometown advantage. The show is supposed to be in a NEW covered arena, HOPEFULLY the footing is better, but there still isn't any footing or rails up since the last time I checked (last sunday).

Hey, when the time comes let's start a thread and we will post all our pictures so everyone can see how the whole show goes!!!

Thanks for all the support
Yes, you will have many pics awaiting you

Sirita~
Yep, its the saddle club one. I'm riding for Watertown.
Hmm...I hope I will see you, I don't know if I will be getting there that early though

Hmm...two state shows ago, before I owned Gus, he placed 10th in the huntseat class...

When I transfer colleges next year, my big thing will be the rodeo team but I am wanting to maybe to the hunseat classes just for fun.

ETA: Sorry, not Watertown!! I meant Gallatin. Lol, I have NO idea why I put that!!!!
