Nicole and Luigi qualified for Districts for 4-h!

They qualified in western grooming and showmanship, pretty exciting! They had 26 in the class! They have to work hard, they are just getting to know each other and he has so many buttons, the slightest touch to the lead and he thinks he should move. He knows his job, Nicole has to learn hers!

Here are a few pics plus a new video of the boy:

Here is a little video Nicole put together, her pattern was much better at the 4-h show than the one on here.

see ya in Centre Hall. My kid Allison Fox made it in Sr Western Grooming, Sr Stock Seat Equitation, and Western Pleasure Horses. Look her up. She hasnt had many lessons this summer and too many activities but did get to do 4-H and hopefully will do well at Districts. Let's try to meet!!!

Calico, we're from near Scranton, our Districts are in Lake Ariel.

So we'll shoot for states!! We haven't had much time for lessons either, she has had about 4 or 5 western lessons and the showmanship she taught herself. She actually likes it that way.

Congrats to your kid! Nicole got 4th in horsemanship and pleasure. We didn't expect to go in those though.

Thanks for everyones kind words! Now the work really begins! LOL

Darn.. I was thinkin your Districts were with ours...
I will probably go to States even if she doesn't make it , so we will definately have to get together if we get there!

did you go to the Region 5 show? I didnt sign up to show, thought I wasnt ready but guess there were no gamers. Was really disappointed when I went on Saturday, not near as big of a deal as I thought it would be.

Thanks guys, I will tell her of all your well wishes!

They have been practicing and have been making progress, his back is flawless, pull turn is beautiful, he sets himself up, the pivot is what they have to work on, when she is in perfect position it's beautiful but he is very senstitive and gets the wrong cue sometimes. I think she has to get about an arms length away from him, she tends to stand too close, for inspection if she is too close to cross over in front he thinks she wants him to go and he'll step off.

Any tips would be appreciated!
