2008 Boyle Rodeo very pic heavy

We went to the Boyle Rodeo. It was my first Boyle Rodeo. We had a great time. Ricky Ticky Wanchuk kept us all in stitches!! And the competitions were good. Lots of awesome competitors. It as a two day Rodeo. The firts day we got soak. It rained heavy for the last half of the day. Sunday was just the opposite with a beatiful breeze to keep away the bugs and keep things cooler in the cloudless sunny day!!
They had a wild pony riding, greased pig chase and a wild chicken round up for the kids both days which was really nice. First rodeo I have been to that did stuff for the kids. What a great way to get those kids involved. Ethan had a blast. Although he did not catch a chicken or pig he did haul home a lot of loot. He got a cap, frizbee, 2 slinkies, and a tone of candy... For fun for the adults there was a wild cow miling for the gents and for the ladies a calf dressing comp. where they had to put a pair of old fashion bloomers on a calf... oo funny!!! We got some nice pictures so I decided to share them with you guys... Enjoy!

Wild Cow milking man that was just too funny to watch 20 odd men running around teh ring with these long horns trying to catch hold and milk enough to pour from a pop bottle. Thats right they had to milk them into a 500ml pop bottle. Even see the size of a cows teat??? But these boys rung in first place

Opppsssyy missed that left horn!!!

Ouch... Dang it Vern the sun's in my eyes

This bull kicked out from under himself and ended up landing on the cowboy riding hiom and then used him as a stepping stone. Thank god he was not hurt!!!

Nice turn...

Yeah thats how its done boys....

Down in the well

Love the riggin on there two. They had bling

This horse was seriosuly P.I.ed she growled the whole ride...

This little bull did not stop bucking even after the bucking rope was removed then they had a heack of a time gettign him out of teh corral and even harder time to get himt o go down the shutte into teh back of the arena. He was some ticked and kept charging the wranglers.... One mean bull...

And there you have it Boyle Rodeo 2008....

OHH rodeos. I grew up going to rodeos, my mom's boyfriend for 5 years was a bullrider/team roper on the American Indian Rodeo circut.

You have some amazing pictures there! I have heard that Canadian Rodeos are really, really fun. One day when I visit my brother in Seattle I'll try to go to one.

It was a whole lot of fun and we can't wait for Kikino Rodeo in a few weeks ... And thank god no serious spills. One bull bucked right out from under his own body and landed on teh rider. Guy hopped up and walked off no problem. Another bull rider was smacked into teh wall as he came off the bull but again was not hurt. Most scarey thing was one of the littl kids in the wild pony riding was knocked on the head with a foot of a rather crazy wild pony! Thank god for helmets!
When Ethan got up this morning he was all set and ready to go to another day at the rodeo ... He had his cowboy jeans on as he calls them his boots and teeth brushed. He was a bit disappointed when i explaimned to him that that was it and that it was over. So, we all went out riding today instead!
