So proud of Libby!
Well today we went off to a show / gymkhana with Libby today and I couldn't be more proud of her. I'm just glowing with pride!!
We did a Equatation class (Libbys first & my first in 3ish years) and we came in second! She listened to voice comands just wee touches of the reins and just acted beautifully! At one point we where at a lope and they asked to go from a lope to a walk and I barley touched the reins and she slide right into the most wonderful walk!  Over the day we also got one 4th, one 1st, and 4 more seconds! We got our 4th in the Pleasure class where Libby tripped and almost fell flat on her face, I lost my rein, she wouldn't back and I couldn't answer her quiz question very well.  The class was basically a comedy of errors at that point!Our 1st came in the poles class, she was being so responsive and doing flying lead changes and listening SO well!! The rest of the seconds came in the bareback class, barrels, stakes & keyhole. Overall I'm smiling ear to ear on how well she did!!! Here are a few pictures...  This is only the second time I have been on her bareback... and I haven't ridden bareback with any real "gusto" in well over a year or so!

Thank you all so much, yes it was just a great day and I know Libby and I had a ton of fun.
Thanks for all the complements on Libby, she is turning into a very fine mare.

A question....
May I ask how your horse is bred? My horse is nearly identical to yours, in build, color, etc. Mine came froma breeder in Edmonton...just curious, pm me if you'd like

Libby is a registered quater horse and her registered name is CR Lobstick Ray.
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cr+lobstick+ray I got her as a weanling out of the Innsifail action market as a weanling. She is a PMU weanling and one wicked little mare. I will PM you the ranch that she came out of. Oh and can we see a picture of your mare... please!
