Luigi and Nicole's first show together

After only riding him twice she showed him western yesterday, she had so much fun. He is a hunter not western pleasure. His previous owners just started to ride him western so he was speedy but it was fun for her.

They did quite well for the first time:

2nd in showmanship out of 8, she didn't load it yet but I will post the video, she moved the chain and he moved during inspection, not his fault.

2nd in horsemanship out of 8, she was quite pleased with him, his pattern was flawless but he put his head up when she asked him to stop.

4th in trail, could have done better but Nicole totally missed a series of poles, it was her first loping trail pattern.

6th in pleasure out of 9 much better than expected because he was zooming around! LOL

Oh yeah Deisel took 2nd in halter out of 12, he's really racking up those points! This was a double pointed show! And he took 1st last week!

Sorry about the brag but I'm "a little" proud!

The hat has been a major issue this year.

It has been flying off so it is plastered on with hairspray and double sided tape. As long as it doesn't fly off I am happy! LOL So she best not touch it!!

? She did very well considering she and Luigi are just getting to know each other. With some more time and work together they'll be a force to reckon with. I just love Diesel, the pro, he always does well for her. She's a very lucky young lady and I hope she continues to enjoy success with those 2 nice horses she has. Well Done

No I just figured it was really windy when I saw it was pulled low with some else's on the ground behind her.

Have you tried a rolled paper towel in the sweatband yet? Between a fat braid and paper towels I showed in a hat three sizes too big when I was her age and in windy ole KS!
