Hi! Meet Feintly Lucky AKA Jake...
This was Nicole's 1st cantering show since rebuilding her confidence after some mishaps nearly a year ago, bad trainer, long story... This is the NPHA show series and it's very hard to win there, the horses are expensive and get worked daily, ours are pampered creampuffs! they placed as follows: 3rd hunter in hand 3rd equitation w/t out of 12 3rd equitation w/t/c out of 9 4th bridle path hack w/t/c out of 15 4th pleasure w/t/c out of 10    Last edited by barnmom : 07-28-2007 at 12:35 PM. Well we just got news, Jake busted up he knee pretty good, don't know if he tried to jump over the rock wall or what happened, the vet didn't see any chips but it's bleeding quite heavily, pressure wrapped, on bute and antibiotics, vet coming back tomorrow to check more thoroughly, she couldn't stitch it because of the location!
Why do these things happen? It's always something. He's such a sweety, I hate to see him in pain! Here's the rock wall he may have jumped because he was found in the barn!  |

What a shame... My TB mare just came up really stiff and sore in her back end a couple days ago... Just as I had scheduled to meet with a trainer tonight.. Sheesh

Thanks, keep jake in your thoughts, we just got home and his leg is wrapped but it looks like a cantalope under there!
 Vet will be out tomorrow or thurs...hope for the best! |

Vet came out yesterday and she said to add cold hosing now to suck the tendon back up in, I know yuck! But she's pleased with the progress, Just keep doing the same thing..she'll stop by tomorrow and check on him...we have pics but I haven't looked at it yet, I don'y really want to see it yet!
