I like your saddle and outfit! Horse is sooo cute! My husband's a bull rider, and I just love Lane Frost. I am glad to see someone else likes him too!

costume class

a really good idea that my team always does is the statue of liberty. its fun, fairly easy, and looks awesome on blackish horses like yours!! Just make sure that your horse is not afraid of it first. Try it out at the barn before you go into the show ring.

I made that mistake with my gelding. He didnt like the horns that I had on my helmet, and when I was riding he caugt it in the corner of his eye and reared, causing the whole costume to fall right off, and since I was bareback, I went off with it! I bet you can tell what I placed in that class lol!

Lady Godiva is usually an eye-catcher if you have enough courage to pull it off. (pun intended)

and while a total lack of any costume would be the easiest way to do it, somehow I don't think the judge would be impressed.

Get a flesh-colored set of tights and sew on some felt or sequined fig leaves in the apropriate places, and get a long-hair wig. Short white gloves and slippers work well to hide the ends of the tights. A little extra padding in a few spots (sometimes a humorously large amount of extra padding works, if you are brave enough) will give the costume that little bit that makes the diference.

good luck with your show!

How about Annie Oakley, the sharp shooter from the Wild Bill show?
