Last Show of the Year...Went out with a Bang!!! Pics of loot!

I am such a proud Mom!!

My kids ( Weege included) did amazing today!

They got Grand Champion Novice Western, Year end Grand Champions in that division.

They showed English in the afternoon...

They offered 7 English classes Nicole and Weege showed in 6 and got first in all six!! The judge had nothing but nice things to say, he told Nicole she has legs of iron! Used Luigi as examples as to how a horse should go into the bit and use himself.

I forgot my camera, "hanging head in shame" a few friends got pics and I will post them as soon as I get them.

Did I mention I LOVE MY HORSE!

Okay, where are the pink bats...YOU FORGOT THE CAMERA! Grand Champion and Six Firsts and YOU FORGOT THE CAMERA!

Congratulations, you have every right to be proud of them, what a wonderful way to end the season!

It would have been so much better with pictures, though!

Congrats

Congrats on a great season. I do have a question though, why did you change his bit from a snaffle to a kimberwick?

Barnmom, don't feel bad about no camera.
I forgot mine on the day my daughter did her first western pleasure class in the 4-H state show here in Jersey. My husband was joking with her to bring home the blue ribbon. She placed 10th out of 24 and her ribbon was blue (light blue) but blue non the less. The only picture I have from that day is on my camera phone, not the best but something.
Congrats on the big wins.

When we got him they used a skinny twisted wire snaffle in him, and I don't know what else as he has scars in his mouth. Nicole took him back to a snaffle and it worked for a while but he slowly figured out how to avoid it and was just too strong, so she bumped him up to a snaffle with the copper rollers improved some. Then she tried the Segunda, it has a port but has tongue relief with the curb and he is so much more relaxed and they actually have great rides, no fighting, he doesn't throw his head and is a joy to ride.

Nicole has very good hands and with this bit she doesn't really have to correct him.
