Electric fencers

OK, I am so flustrated with any and all brands of electric fencers that I have ever bought!!!
The longest anyone of them has ever lasted was approx. 1 year. They either just quit working or hardly work, I've even hooked them up to several ground rods at one time. I have had paid over a hundred dollars for some, and it makes no difference. Was wonder if anyone could suggest a long LASTING fencer that they've had or someone they know. All suggestions are appreciated. PLEASE. Signed "flustrated"

I have a small dry/pasture approximately 2 miles long. I had to buy a 20 miler to get a strong enough ZAP out of it.

We use ParMak fencers. My grandpa had his own fencer business. He sold brand new ones as well as repaired old ones. The fencers we have are solar panel ones, and they are more than 5 years old. I have had no problems with them at all. The one I am using for the horse pen was one that my dad pulled straight from our back pasture.

I had a Gallagher for 20 years and it finally got hit by lightening. Now I have a Parmak. Lightening
hit it and blew the fuse -- very easy to fix.

I use Zareba fencers. I have 2 of them and they work great. I have tried a solar fencer and hated it. I took it back to the store and got a regular electric one.

I have a Parmak, I believe rated for 50 miles, and I like it alot. I have never had any problems with it. It even burns off some of the weeds that touch it. I also have a Zareba, and it does an okay job, but I don't like it as much as the Parmak.

I wonder if there may be something else wrong that is shorting out your fencers. We have several around here and we've had them all for several years. My husband knows how to fix them so we always have spares for if one goes out and we can quickly throw up another. Some of them are really old like 15 years old. I can't remember what brand they are.

I have a Zarebra solar powered fencer. I LOVE it. I bought it at TSC, it was just over $100 and for $14.99 more I got a three year warranty with it. I love that it keeps itself charged, will run for two weeks without any sunlight, and I never have to pay for electric on it again!

I also have a small 2 mile Zarebra fender, and I have never had any trouble with that either. I think I only paid $20 for it, and I use it for my Minis and ponies.
