Product Review - Mane 'n Tail Spray-Away

- Product Info -

Manufacturer: Mane 'n Tail
Product Name: Spray-Away
Product Type/Product purpose: Concentrated horse shampoo/sprayer
Price and Purchase info: Got this on sale for $14.99 at Tractor Supply. It included the 16 oz. concentrate and the sprayer. Refills can be purchased without the sprayer.

- Product Description -

Spray-Away cleans without scrubbing, just spray on using the product dispenser which attaches to your hose, rinse, and you're done. Safe and gentle to use every day!

Pros: This stuff really worked! It got my Princess clean all the way down to her skin. Her coat was soft and clean, free of dirt and dust particles, and she was as shiny as a copper penny. Her mane was also very soft and clean.

Cons: The sprayer can be a potential horse eating monster. It makes a hissing noise and can be a little scary for some horses. Princess would not let me do her rump. (But, the spray that did make it over her back and down her rump worked well too!) The sprayer seemed a bit cheap. The attachment for the hose popped off when the water pressure became too great when I turned it "off" at the sprayer. It was easily fixed, but I'm wondering how long it'll last...

Would you recommend this to a friend?: I would absolutely recommend this product.

Other comments: I got loads of coupons in the box for Mane 'n Tail products ($30.00 worth!), which I will certainly use.

Overall Product rating: 8

For $14.99 you got the basic sprayer which is made kinda cheap and can be a pain to use because it twists and is awkward. I would consider these more disposable after awhile.
There is a deluxe Spray-Away sprayer and foamer. I love it!! It will run you $45-50.

Good to know!

Thanks for the info on the sprayer... I do like this product, and will likely continue using it. The sprayer was the big downfall for me, but the product worked wonderfully!

Wow! I'll have to try it. Cisco is so hard to get clean.

Hmm I may have to give that a try as Chevy is an easy bather but with so much white hard to get squeaky clean!

I have used this also, and really like it-even on a paint w/ much white. Everyone else is right though, the sprayer is cheap, but I have used it about 3 times now, and it still is working (knock on wood)!

I LOVE IT!

you can even use regular shampoo in it, which for me is cheaper after i run out of all the wash that came with it.

sprayer seems cheaply made sorta...but has worked amazingly so far. for $15 i would definately buy one again and recommend it to everybody.

it cuts bath time down to 5-10 min.! unlike the usual hour.
