Had one years ago, but it finally died. Now I just hang 2 family size bags of Luzianne tea bags in a pitcher full of cold tap water and leave it on the counter for a couple of hours. It's like SunTea without the sun. I have 2 pitchers though ,so ones always cold in the refrigerator. It's all my husband will drink.
Your right yellowhorsesinc, it does take up a lot of counter space.

For ice tea, I use the tea bags in a picture for about an hour. I like my tea with just lemon, but my husband like his with suger. I make simple syrup for him. Jelly jar about half full of sugar. Fill with water, heat in microwave until very hot and almost all or all of the sugar can not be seen. Us this to sweeten the tea to your taste. In one way sweet tea is better for you, than soda. It is not made with frutose made from corn.

Wish you could buy it up here, while working in Texas I got hooked on the unsweetened ice tea. I know I could make it myself, but I never seem to make the time!

I use a regular coffee pot. Place 10 dollar store tagless tea bags in the basket (no filter) use 10 cups of water and when it is done add 1 3/4 cups sugar to hot tea, stir until dissolved, for sweet tea. Pour into a gallon milk jug and add cold water to fill. Makes one full gallon. The best southern sweet tea ever!

You know what's funny is that you call tea iced tea. I'm not from the South but live their now and people give you funny looks if you call tea iced tea. They call it sweet or unsweet tea and i've yet to see it served hot so it's usually actually iced tea. Go figure. I just haven't heard anyone refer to iced tea for awhile.

Just bought one and it is great-thanks for the recommend.
I can't have soda since the surgery so it is a lifesaver for me!

I used to have one years ago. Loved it except I went through a lot of ice. It took one bag of ice per pitcher. Now I have two coffee machines. one for tea and one for coffee. three family size tea bags will make a gallon of tea.
