Arete's newest style, Iberian II half chaps are the ultimate in style and function. These chaps feature a high spanish top for a long sleek profile, premium Black boot leather outside, soft goat suede lining, faux swagger tabs with an embossed Arete logo, stretch leather gusset panel for a custom fit, YKK zippers made to last, an elastic strap at the top to keep your chaps securely in place, and elastic straps under the foot for added security.

OMG these are beautiful, the description barely covers it. The quality in the leather is just amazing. Best of all they fit! They have sizes that will fit up to a 21 inch calf and look like show worthy boots.
Pros: They fit. Plus sized riders get very little selection and lost of poor quality for gear in their size. These are the exception. They are very nice, well made and in dealing with the company was no problem. The first pair I ordered was a wee bit to small and the return exchange process was painless.
They are beautiful..make you feel like a princess

Cons: Hmmm...none really. I would like more range in height, I am not all that tall so that the elastic strap that goes under the foot will need to be taken up some, as the bottom flaps when you walk. But that is a half and hour fix with a needle..most likely would not be a problem for most

Other comments: I have wanted tall boots since I was a kid. Even when I was young and fit they would have to be specially made, small feet and very wide calves, these rock..I would wear them all the time if I could get away with it

I think they look very cool... thats what i would need if i rode english more, cause i doubt i could find a pair of tall boots to fit my gianormous calves...i love the fact that they acknowledge the fact that someone larger than a size 4 might actually need apparel for horseback riding
