Tall Pines Two

Tall pines resort two.

When Latin was at the vets on an I.V., we decided to try and keep our minds off of it, and trust she was in good hands, and God was taking care of her. So we went to silver dollar city in Brandson MO. It must be the head quarters for RFDTV. I seen this there.

We went to silver dollar city. It was FUN! It was on friday, so it wasn't as crowded, we didn't even have to wait in line for the rides. So we got to ride them all. I can tell you what the coolest ones are. The wild fire, is the best rollercoaster. The view is almost as cool as the coaster.

The water rides were fun too. I got cold though so I bought a tye dyed t-shirt that says silver dollar city on it. The mine ride was different, you went through on a boat, and when you would shoot things they would move, and do stuff.

The leather store was sooo cool. It had belts of every color. holsters, hats, it smelled so good in there, you could actually smell it about 50 feet outside the building. There was a store there for a christian artist named jack dawson. He and his wife were actually there. We bought one of his paintings called last chance, it's of a tent revival. It has a guy on a horse in it too. I found this link to it. Anyway their actual store is in Silver dollar city, if you go there check it out. The one of the person sewing the flag is so beautiful in person. http://www.bittersweetgallery.com/in...jstest=1&js=on

We ate at this restaurant that was made to look like you were eating in an old mine, it had lanterns for light. It was really cool. I'm tired of uploading pics, but if you want to see it P.M. me I'll send you some.

We spent most of the day at silver dollar city, but then we went to see the titanic (not the movie) they actually built a ship to look like it, and you can go through it. It was 17.50 per person, but it was really neat. You got to feel a real ice berg. and they had a clock with a timer and the water was set to 28 degrees, and you had to see how long you could keep your finger in it. It told stories of all the peoples lives that died, who they were, and what they did.
I thought the neatest one was of rev. John Harper. After he put his wife and child on a boat, as they were heading down in the boat, they heard him talking to a man to try and bring him to jesus. They said that another seen him ask a man if he was saved, he replied no, and he took off his life jacket, and gave it to the other guy and said then you will need this more than I will. and then the guy that was walking through the ship (staff member) Told us of another guy that was on the titanic, that used to come there as a guest and talk to people about it, He said that rev john Harpers last words were to a guy floating on a board, and he said trust in the name of Jesus and you shall be saved, and went under the water for the last time. This guy says the reason that he knows those were his last words and he spent them trying to save souls, was because he was the man on the board. .. That story touched me the most, but all were really good. they have artifacts, and letters written by people from the titanic. VERY interesting. (sorry they wouldn't let me take pictures inside.)

We played mini golf 3 times while on vacation. I won everytime. My husband went to take my picture after I made a hole in one, and I was goofy (like normal) But I thought the picture was so funny, I might as well put it on here too. I look like one of those night of the living dead creatures..

They have bottled pop down there. How cool is that? Maybe they have that where you are too, but not where I live, So I bought that every chance I had. This restaurant in Mountain home called salsas...WOW you must try it, if you are ever there. Prices are good too.

This was the coolest pet store ever. They have dog and cat stuff there and HORSE STUFF. We don't have anything like this either.

We also went to Mountain View and went on the wild cave tour. it was soo dangerous. I guess there is a law in AR if you pay to enter a cave you take on all risks, since we never signed a waiver. but we went across a foot wide path with a 100 foot drop beside you through most of it. I can not believe no one has ever died on this tour, it was really fun though. I am not so great with tight spaces and there were a couple I had to breath slow and tell myself, don't panic, but I made it through. Here are some pictures of the cave. I would recommend it. I would do it again too.

This was in branson too. it is roy rogers museum, trigger is inside stuffed! They were closed, but we are taking another vacation in July and going back to branson. So maybe I will get to see it then, We arent taking the horses, so gas will be a lot cheaper .

Anyway, if you want to know anything about the places we went feel free to ask. I would love to hear of different horse places, or vacation places you guys have went also. It's always better to know what to expect, and what is fun to do where your going before hand.

Looks like you had a blast. Neat pictures. I love the Titanic remake thing. I wish we had an All pet and equine supply. We had a State Line Tack in one of our many petsmarts but they closed it!

Champion Horse-I really enjoyed reading your post and looking at the pics. The reason I loved it so much is because I live about 30 miles from there, its my favortie place to go to shop and do fun stuff. In fact I'm going this weekend to go Kareoking (sp?) I also went to college there. I love that town very much, except for the traffic

Did you like the barn swing ride at SDC?? its the newest one they have, Thats my favorite...takes your stomach right up to your heart...but I also LOVE wildfire too!! I'm so glad you liked it, next time you come in July, PM meif you want, I have season tickets and go all the time. Also, it will be prime weather for White Water, which I would highly suggest...lots of fun!!!

This is so weird that you posted about Branson. I have been meaning to start a post to get information from those of you who have been there. We are heading out there for the week of July 4th for vacation and want to know what we shouldn't miss. So this is great information. It looks like a lot of fun!

That is so funny, If I get to keep my reservations, I will be there the 4th of July as well...

How weird is that? I had extra money saved for my trip and after Latins vet bill, I am almost 600.00 short now. But if I can still make it to my trip, I will be there at the same time you are.

Mandy Mae Sure I will get in touch with you, maybe we could meet up.

and Amrwmblds2, See I knew there was a reason I posted that ugly thing..

Well the swing was the one I actually didn't ride, I am ok with roller coasters, but things that make you dizzy, make me sick.. When I was younger nothing bothered me, but now, the ones that swing..

Ok, well here goes. I have done just about everything there you can think of!!

1.Of course the all famous Silver Dollar City
2. White Water
3.Celebration City...its owned by the same people as SDC but it a night time theme park...they do a laser show every night and its really cool.
4. Ripleys Believe It or Not Museum...I've been there about 8 times and I still see something new the next time I go. Its really neat!!
5. The Landing..brand new mall and it has the best shopping in the whole town, its brand new. Its on lake Tanycomo and they have a bass pro and you can actually test drive the boats and jet skis on the lake. I think that is pretty neat.
6. The ejection seat! If you are a thrill seeker that is...it is literally probably my absolute favorite thing to do.
7. of course there are putt putt golf courses every time you turn around but if it rains then there is also an indoor one next door to the grand country splash inn, you can't miss it, it has a HUGE banjo sticking out of the roof.
8. Ride the Ducks is also a lot of fun. Its a truck that looks like a duck and it turns into a boat to go on the lake. I know pretty confusing. Its right on the strip though, next to Walmart. You start off driving and then you get to take a lake tour.
9. The Branson Showboat Belle. Its a really nice dinner cruise on the lake. They have show and dinner, and its great for a date. Pretty fancy!

Shows to see:
1. Cirque
2. Peirce Arrow
3. The Preselys
4. Acrobats of China
5. Yakov...its a comedy show and he's HILARIOUS!

there is so much more but that gives a few ideas for you. If all else fails its always fun just to walk up and down the strip and do stuff as you see it come along.

Hope you have fun!

Looks like you had a great time! We live about 65 mi from Branson and we love going to Silver Dollar City. Wildfire is my favorite roller coaster there but I love the Barn Swing!
