This wine is wonderful! It has such a perfect balance between sweet and dry. I originally tried it because I'm looking for an American wine to replace my favorite French wine. This one has horses on the label so I thought to myself.. Self.. why not try it? I am so happy I did. I wish it were a couple of bucks cheaper though and you might be able to get it cheaper in a larger town.

I contacted the winery via email because the label says the Winery is named because there used to be wild horses on the land it sits on. I emailed that I would love to see more information about the horses on the bottle but I hoped they did not displace the horses to build the winery. They answered back that the horses were not displaced but did not elaborate on just what happened to them. I assumed it was many many years in the past.

If you like a nice rich but mellow Merlot that has an wonderful balance between sweet and dry. This is the wine for you. I have a bottle of white wine they make too but have not opened it yet. When I do, I'll do a report on it too!
