The Trail Rider Magazine

A lot of you may get this magazine, but there may be a few who don't know about it. It is the best magazine ever. It has so much information. I get so excited everytime the next addition arrives in the mail . Here are just a few things it covers: Upcoming trail rides, Product reviews, Camping hints, Problem solving, Realstate, Places to ride and stay (That's my favorite part) plus much more. It does however focus on gaited horses, but all the info can be used for all breeds. Here is the website address: www.myhorse.com/trailrider
If you dont have it, get it! you will really enjoy it.

I love TR amgazine. I just hate that they did away with the gaited version. Although, the new section they are doing in TR to make up for it is not too bad.

We get this mag. now and I like it. Even got the husband talked into going to Co. to look at horses. This is like a "rent a horse" ranch but all the horses are for sale. They will pick you up at the airport with a loaded trailer and off you go. You can try several in a weekend or just one and there is a 2 wk trial time.

I've found it near difficult to find a gaited small horse seems most are 15.2 and up but this place has several that are 14hnds. Can't wait to go look!!!!

It's gonna be awhile I need to get my goats paid off once that happens though I'll be saving for the trip to Co. My husband would like for me to wait until we get moved as well but Iam not sure if that's gonna happen.

http://gaitedtrailhorses.net/gaitedhorsesforsale.html found them through a write up in the trail mag.

This is the site I found "My Horse" on ....not really but I wish I really like "Poncho"(a bit young but I really like him), "Cayenne" and "Frosty"....maybe "Midas" but I've had a Pally for the last 15 years Iam thinking I'd like something different.

Iam sure they will all be gone before I get the money around but I like that you can just go for the weekend and ride. They seem upfront the horses look in good condition and it's the only place I've found several small gaited horses. Besides what a fun vacation.

Iam trying to talk my husband into one of thier big horses but he's not giving up his Quarters. Says he doesn't like the movement of the gaited horses, not sure Iam to thrilled about it either but with my back I need to do something. Scooter is 15.3 and built like a bulldog Quarter Horse even his small movements are getting to be to much for my body. Of course Iam 4'10 and currently 140#s.......thats what I get for buying a weanling. I love my Aunt but she was way off when she said "Look at his Mom, look at his Grandsire, look how much smaller he is than the other weanlings....he's not gonna get big." She was just as shocked as we were!!! I just would like a horse I can get on and off from w/o help. It's getting old having my husband pick me up and lift me off the horse then having to hold me until I can stand. I've got a small mare I might try riding this year but you know I think I have it set in my mind to get a gaited gelding....our youngest sons horse is almost 30 he can ride my mare.

But hey if anybody knows gaited horses let me know what you think about the ones I picked out. I've also got a horse vet in the area looking one of his apprentices is going to Tenn. to work with a friend of his he said once he gets settled he'd have him and the Sr. vet start looking.

Anyway, I suppose I better get to work the chaps can't sew themselves.
