Has anyone had problems with the "non-stick" bottom of this pad that is against the horse?

I've been watching Oakie carefully and so far we haven't had any problems with the "tacky" stuff on the bottom of the pad. However, take this with a HUGE grain of salt since I've only used the pad 4 times now and only for about 20 - 30 minutes each time.

I saw these on Ebay as well. They were 59.99, but the shipping was way too much. I have an old red (of course its red, lol) bareback pad. Ive had it for 20 years and its perfect, no rust, rips, or tears. I used a thin pad underneath it and actually got on Chief yesterday. I had to stand on the water trough cause my stool is only 2 steps and I dont have any upper arm strength to get on. I had a blast for the 10 minutes I could ride. Hurt my muscles since im not used to bareback.I would like to know more about this type of pad.
