Other comments:
I ordered a free sample of these cookies after seeing an ad for them on RFD-TV. Winnie's cookies are a way to give your horse some extra vitamins, minerals, etc in the form of a treat. It took a few weeks but i finally got my sample of cookies the other day. The sample contained 4 bags of 3 cookies each. I gave a cookie to my horse today after his workout as a reward for a job well done and he was absolutely thrilled! There was no room for doubt, he LOVED these cookies. He was willing to do anything I asked to get another one. He followed me without a lead rope at a walk, trot, backup, etc giving me an occasional nicker trying to let me know that he wanted another cookie. Needless to say, he was so pitiful that he ended up getting the other two cookies from the bag. These cookies are organic and come in different "formulas" for things like helping regulate mare's moods and cookies to help joints and digestion. My horse and I both love these cookies and we will definetly be making these a regular part of our feeding program.

Overall Product rating: (out of 10) 8 - My horse adores these cookies. Anything that gets him that excited has got to be good. I just wish they didn't cost quite so much. Also I'll have to wait and see if I can tell any differences in my horse after feeding them for a while.

Look at the feeding schedule. Sounds like it could get expensive !!!
Avg. horse gets 3-4 cookies a day.....thats close to 2 dozen a week !!

Watch out for those High-End cookies, they can get seriously addictive. My old riding instructor had to bann Stud Muffins from her barn after ALL the horses there would no longer accept anything else - not apples, carrots, or even Captian Crunch (and certainly not Apple Wafers, the standard treat at her barn). It had gotten to the point where if any horse got one, they all had to have one, or they'd throw a snit for the rest of the day. She had 18 horses in her barn then (her lesson horses and several boarders) and since Stud Muffins come in bags of 6 for like $5, that got pretty expensive fast.

I didn't think of that...hmmm...maybe i'll save these cookies for special occasions instead! I don't want my horse turning into a cookie snob.

Try granola bars. My boys love them. Nature Valley oats and honey and maple brown sugar.

If you are looking for something less pricey try Mrs. Pastures cookies. They run around 15 bucks for a 5lb bag. My horse loved them and I liked them because they do not go bad like apples or carrots.

Winnies cookies sound great, but they are just so expensive!

As to the Mrs. Pastures cookies, do those also have vitamin supplements in them? Is there a website?
