Grooming Supplies: Oster Fine Curry Comb

- Product Info -

Manufacturer: Oster
Model Name: Equine Care Series Fine Curry Comb
Product Type/Product purpose: Curry comb for sensitive areas.
Price and Purchase info: $7.95 from Jeffers: Also available at most local tack shops, at least in my area.

- Product Description -

Pros: Easy to hold, comfortable handle does not tire your hand as quickly as those funny little round handles do. Even legs and ticklish tummies do not seem to mind this soft curry comb. It also seems to be durable; I bang mine against whatever hard surface is available to get the hair out and you can't tell yet.

Cons: Clogs up with winter hair in the blink of an eye, and is not exceptionally easy to clean out.

Would you recommend this to a friend?: Yes indeed.

Other comments: This was one of the better and definitely most-used Christmas gifts I've received in the past few years.

Overall Product rating: (out of 10) 8

I always wondered about the Oster line of brushses. Are they really that much nicer then others? In your opinion at least.

Is the curry sort of a kidney shape like some of their other brushes?

Nope, it's round.

I don't own any of the other Oster brushes, so I can't vouch for them one way or the other. This curry is nicer than a lot of others I have used, though.

Oh I love Oster products! I particularly like the mane and tail brush, it breaks a lot less hairs unlike my old old one and therefore makes my mares look all the more nicer!

We bought the box set from TSC with the Coarse Curry, Mane/Tail brush and Hoofpick for about $20.

Best. Investment. Ever.

That hoofpick alone is amazing as most people can attest, and, I love the curry a bunch. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for. It's a bit more than some of the others we've bought, but it's the most durable and best one we've got.
