Ariat All-Terrain Half-Chaps

- Product Info -
Manufacturer: Ariat
Model Name: All Terrain Half-Chap
Product Type/Product purpose: Self-explanatory
Price and Purchase info: $89

- Product Description -
Pros: I never thought I would buy half-chaps, as I ride western. But when I bought my Aussie saddle, I was getting chapped inside of my calves, so I got these on clearance. Made of woven mesh with suede on the inside. Keeps legs cool, and with my Aussie saddle, I swear I could have stayed on if the horse did a sommersault. I got these on 50% off clearance, but if I lost these I would buy them back at full-price without hesitation.

Cons: The little snap is hard to snap. That's it.

Would you recommend this to a friend?: Yes.

Other comments: I'm wearing them around the house for no good reason, that's how much I love them.

Overall Product rating: (out of 10) 10/10

Oh yeah, and they have elastic built in- I tried on plain leather half-chaps and hated them- super stiff and tight- but yes, the elastic makes for a perfect fit. I'm not too big around the legs, but I am tall, and the med. talls fit my legs like a glove. And it's nice that they support you, but you cvan still move. I took a spill a week or so ago and sprained my ankly pretty good- I think if I hadn't been in the half-chaps I may have broken it- as it was I was on crutches for a few days.

All in all, can't say enough good things.

I have these and love them!

I got them after I got tired of my jeans riding up to be just above my boots when I was riding (western). I got the Ariat All-terrain lacer boots and these 1/2 chaps. It's sooooo comfy to ride now. I almost never use my boots anymore.

P.S. I wound up cutting off the snap straps because once they got mud in them they stopped working.

I love my half chaps! I used to have awful problems with my jeans riding up over my boots, uncomfortable and you get raw spots on your calves...mine have the elastic and they are sooo comfortable I forget I'm wearing them!
