Muck Boots

- Product Info -
Manufacturer: Muck Boot Company
Model Name: Chore Boot
Product Type/Product purpose: Waterproof work boot
Price and Purchase info: Bought from Peavey Mart in Canada, on sale $89

- Product Description -
Pros: If you have been blessed with cows rather than calves, these boots are for you. These are a waterproof boot with a 'stretchy' leg, they are beautifully comfortable, and I have had warm dry feet all spring.

Cons:
Price, I would never of considered paying that much for boots

Would you recommend this to a friend?:

OH yes!!

Other comments:

I was very reluctant to pay this price for boots, in fact I looked at them several times a year ago, and didn't buy, simply because of the price. Now I've got a pair, I realise that you can't put a price on having warm dry comfortable feet all day long. I see on their web page that they also now do a riding boot, if that has the same 'stretch forever' properties that these guys do, I'd buy a pair tomorrow.

I can't praise these boots enough, being as that I have had to wear short work boots for years because of my very fat calves, the novelty of dry feet is still right up there for me.
Overall Product rating: 10 (out of 10)

Do you have a picture of these boots? Is that price correct?

Nevermind, I just looked them up online. I have a pair that I absolutely love (two actually---a short one for summer and a tall one for winter). I think you typed an extra 8.

I have these boots and hate them mine leak and have already worn the soles out of them(and have only had them for max 5 months) but atleast they are comfortable and are warm when I manage not to get my feet soaked and I do like the stretchy leg as I find normal rubber boots rub the hell out of my legs

I absolutley love my muck boots!! I have had new ones for 2 years now and they are still going strong. I have the higher boots that come up to my knees though. Best boots and $89 is really not that bad for boots that seem to last forever....I always rinse mine after being in the barn and muck and urine and what not so that the urine cannot eat through the rubber...it seems to work well because I my old pair which are like 7 years old (no traction and a small hole) still work really well for the most part....I cannot say one bad thing about them!!

Have had 3 pair of muck boots in 10 years. yes that is right, each pair last 3 plus years and I wear them every day from october to the end of may when it gets too hot .
Love them Love them, even for riding.
I pay 75 from my local farm supply and Tractor supply has them also.

If they leak take them back or call the company for an exchange, they should not leak or wear out that fast.

I loved my Muck boots when I had a pair for about two years. The year I lost them to a nail hole I was in our Job Lot store and found a pair of "Sloggers" Muck Boots "wanna bes" . Great boots ,in blue, and only $10. They are still going strong..and I stay away from boards with nails

I have these:
http://www.muckbootcompany.com/products/TKM-000M

and have had them about 2 years now, while I do love them for the fact they keep my feet very dry. but I do have one complaint, if I wear thin socks with them or even short socks, I tend to get blisters on the back of the my heels. they just rub me weird. as long as I wear a normal taller sock with them, they rock. they can get a little hot in the summer too. despite all that, I think they are totally worth the investment. mine don't even show any wear and they have had their work cut out for them. I like to rock them out over my jeans when I go into town people don't share my sense of humor though

Take them back. Muck Boots are guarenteed for a year. If you have your reciept they'll refund you, if not they'll give you a new pair. We haven't had to replace many at all in the 3 years I have dealt with them, but they are easy to work with if/when we have to!

I have 2 pair! A mid calf and a shoe and I love both of them! My mid calf pair is 2 1/2 years old and I haven't had one problem with them.

I've had three air of the Muck Chore boots in the past five or six years. I wear the treads off the bottom as I wear them everyday, summer and winter, choring and doing pasture work. Mine don't get too hot in the summer if I put in a sole liner. I love, love, love my Muck boots, rain or shine!

Link

I really want these, but here you can only wear then in the winter...how stretchy is stretchy as far as the calf goes, mine are beyond enormous.

they just don't make boots for normal ankles and huge (as in 20 inch) calves

How stretchy is stretchy........very, your calves and mine could well be twins, I have struggled to get anything long and waterproof to fit, I'm living in my chore boots now. If the boots in your link have anything like the stretch ability that mine have, then you'll be fine.

good to know and if you ever decide to go English I found a place that makes half chaps that fit. I will have to bring mine in around the ankle but at least I can zip them up.I also hate when "skinny jeans" come in, because there is so no way that is going to happen.
