Comments:

We tried about every Brand available for our 30 Year Old Horse, we tried mixing Beat Pulp, Rice Bran and Weight Builders with other Senior Feeds - Nothing Worked.

This is the First Winter he has held his weight and actually gained weight.

I would Recommend Seminole Senior Wellness to Anyone, it has in our opinion been a Life Savor.

I hope it is available in everyone's area!

PS, it smells great too, the whole Barn smells Minty at feeding time.

I have a lot of concerns about feeding my old Walker. I have stayed away from senior feeds because they just simply didn't seem cost efficient.

Also, I don't like the concept of complete feeds. My horses are on pasture 24/7. Why should I feed the volume of feed necessary with a complete feed when my horses have forage?

Is there a concentrated senior feed available?

We just put an thin, aged TWH on this feed and he's really starting to put on weight. He is on pasture 24/7 and gets 2 flakes of coastal morning and night. Seems to be doing the trick!

TOB,

My Old Guy does not have very good teeth, when the grass is green, we give him about half a 34oz Coffee Can twice a day.

We do not have the luxury of grass all year round.

During no grass season, he has trouble eating Hay and a has Problem with chocking, his teeth have been floated and we have them checked twice a year, his chocking is due to scaring from something that happened to him before we owned him, during the winter we feed him 1.5 Coffee Cans full twice a day.

A bag is 19.00, other senior feeds are 15.00 and regular feed is 14.00, so I do not think we spend too much on him, he has been the best lesson Horse in the world and deserves a little extra.

He still has more energy than the 3 and 4 year old ones around here.

I fed Triple Crown Senior to my 31 year old before she passed in Dec.She was on it for about 3 years and that was the only one that actually put weight and supps back in her. But this was her though.

Seminole is a great feed. I do not know about the senior, but from the other products it is a great feed. How old is your geriatric horse? Senior is the way to go for the older horse though. Good luck.
