Fall photo in Florida

This duck flew south for the winter and brought a passenger along.

Thankful for....

Final going out with a bang

These are all Final's from this summer alone. I have planned on semi-retiring him from the show ring at the end of this year, so now we will not go for year end awards, just show once or twice a year.

I think at 16 and after having won pretty much nothing in his life AND having put up with me for TEN years now, he deserves this. We are 2007 Adult Gaited Highpoint AND Overall Gaited Champion for our riding club.

Without a doubt my kids are the things I am most grateful for.

After trying for more than 10 years and basically giving up we were first happily surprised with my son Gatlin.

And then almost exactly 2 years later along came Emily.

I thank whatever whim of the universe that caused them to be mine!

A very HAPPY THANKGIVING to all.

Among other things, I'm thankful for:

The sweetest mare one could ever ask for, the best partner in the show ring, and the best hugger at the barn... Miss Rogue's Romance (who, in this picture, is thankful for hay!):

The opportunity to rescue such a great little filly:

And, of course, the boys in my life, who never let the day end without a dull moment:

I'm thankful for all the friends and family that helped make our Thanksgiving special this year. The donation of food and the gathering of loved ones to help eat it.

I also want to take this time to thank all of you here on HT for helping me through these last 4 months of my husbands work place being on strike. You've helped make the struggle bearable. Thanks for helping to keep me sane. I've never had so many good friends. Your the best.
