Hmmm... Checking Luka, and... Nope, she definitely is wee wee-less!

Her tummy is pretty pink, though...

Thank you for the compliment! Luka thanks you too. She was our little rescue dog. She's come a long way, and turned into a nice little pooch!

edited to add: She is sitting sort of funny...

So Luka's a mutt?!! Or do you know what breed she is? I love her name. How'd you come up with it?

Actually, Luka is a purebred, papered Jack Russell Terrier. Her ears just never bent over. She looks so scruffy because she's a broken-coated JRT.

She was kept in a small pet carrier in an apartment, without being let out, for days at a time...

Her coat was burned off, and her feet had blisters from being in her own mess in the box. She was also severely underweight.

I had worries about her, living the way she did for so long. She's a great dog. Typical JRT, very energetic! As far as I can tell, she has no lasting ill-effects from her life in the box...

Her name comes from the Suzanne Vega song, "Luka". Remember that one? Her papers were never passed on to us, which isn't important, but I have no idea what her "real" name was...

Thanx for the compliments on Page and her helmet. She loves to be noticed and didn't mind wearing it as long as people would look at her!

Everyone takes such awesome pictures! All the flower pics are amazing, I love it when they have dew drops on them, they look so delicate! Keep the pictures coming, I love these photo contests.

You're ok, paso_lover, it's just that there is no category for trail riding.

The categories this month are: Training, Non-horse/cat/dog pets, and gardens.

Horsetopia-Annie, for the hummingbird shot, I took about 50pics of them from about 8 feet away, sitting on our patio, with a 70-200 lens and camera mounted on a tripod, and flash to make the details in the color more noticable. Then, I went through the 50 shots and that's the one that turned out. Thanks, Ryan
