August photo contest

I really had a hard time thinking of new catagories, well here they go....

First one..I want to see all the different ways you guys train and desensitize your horses. Do you make them stand on a tarp, hang things from their faces, have them drag things around. I want to see what they have learned this summer, especially the babies. We all might just get some different training ideas.

Since I do guinea pig rescue, I want to see all your non dog, cat or horse pets. I want to see how many different types we have living here in Horsetopia.

And last, I know its HOT and DRY. But do we have any gardens that have survived? Pretty flowers or yummy veggies??

I raise all my flowers from seeds during the winter, then transplant them outside in the sprint. Looks like I am growing weed under grow lights.

This one is the flowers around my flagpole

And this is outside my backdoor

WOW! We've got some great photos on here!

Here's my pygmy nanny, Button, giving kisses!

And here's my sister working with a Quarab Mare, Dish. One of our desensitizing methods is to run the horses through the campground next to the stables.

Dish spooked when I threw this hat in front of her, so we stopped and let her check it out.

While taking photos of our sad, dry flowers I decided to look at Hubby's watermelon vine that he'd long since given up on... I found a funny little melon growing through the fence. It's another entry for the garden category...

Cory's Melon...

Here are my garden entries! I have to set up some obstacles for my horses and get some pictures of my "other" friends!

The garden! Oh, these are gourds and pumpkins. The yellow flowers are the luffa gourd plants. Unfortunately, most of the veggies burned out in the heat.

Pumpkins and gourds:
