July Photo Contest Winners!

Wow, you all took some very nice pictures and it was oh so hard to judge! But, since I had to, here are the results.

Summer Dreaming:

Equine

First is actually a tie between pictures since they are both of dandeeqh's foal. I just love these shots, like the foal was playing, slid into first, and fell asleep!

Second goes to dodib and this sweetly dreaming foal - it's the expression on the face that does it, visions of green fields anyone?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...eepupclose.jpg

Third is to Sundance, this boy is sleeping so hard his lips are flattened on the ground!

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...9/100_2397.jpg

Non-equine

First is this lovely dog by greyhorse, I can almost see the drool!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...y132005010.jpg

Second is to this crashed out asleep, an intruder might not wake me up dog of Snickers'.

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a4/...2/000_3060.jpg

Muttduck gets third with this picture. Now, I'm not sure if this is a dog or a cat, but whatever the fuzzy thing is, it has a big behind that it is trying SO hard to keep on that chair!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ck/TotSpot.jpg

Honorable mentions go to these pictures!

OSUJillyBean's amazing kitty.
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e_down_Nap.jpg
Midnightstarr's kitty asleep with something in its paw.

Cooling Off:

Equine

First goes to Sundance and the swimming horse, entirely in that water to cool off.

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...r/100_3111.jpg

Second is sassy's little one with water shooting straight up that nose.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...3/HPIM3570.jpg

Third is the coordinated team exiting the cooling waters of the pond from abigail91101.

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...lleinwater.jpg

Non-equine

First absolutely had to go to tnahorses' dog completely covered by water in the horse trough! Perfect sized doggie pool, there!

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...r/2b51b7a2.jpg

Second is QuarterCowGirl's Yeti trying to figure out how to get that fuzzy body entirely in the bucket of water.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...icture1411.jpg

Third is Promise Ranch's Luka, loving the hose. That series of pictures was great!

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...playwater3.jpg

There is a fourth in this category, jules1962's dog in the human pool.

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...s/DSC_6558.jpg

An honorable mention must go to KJUN's dog in the bathtub because I think that dog in the background wants in, too!

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...oolingOff2.jpg

Soul is in the Eyes:

This was a very, very hard category to judge! There are many soulful eyes out there.

Equine

First is this beautiful shot of a regal blue eye from oveywon.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...4/Bluesoul.jpg

These eyes are kind of spooky that alihaspharaoh captured so well for second.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...h/bbf7301a.jpg

These eyes get third. Kahlua Twist's horse seems to be afraid of the camera!

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12...Picture008.jpg

And, of course, there must be an honorable mention - doyle82's picture of these eyes, which look kind of sad to me.

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2...wtoKissoul.jpg

Non-equine

First goes to this picture from mellowdane, the deer in the woods.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...e/deercrop.jpg

OSUJillyBean's big eyed kitty comes in second.

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...artparrot3.jpg

There is a tie for third place because I loved both of these pictures.

I truly love the scared eyes of this poor dog, taken by KJUN, he seems to be saying, "Please save me!"

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...m/P1010244.jpg

Rudy got a great picture of these eyes!

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/edff76ed.jpg

The category would not be complete without an honorable mention.

Cook1745 took a picture of a happy dog with two different colored eyes.

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...5/100_2260.jpg

No Hoof, No Horse:

Equine

First goes to Rudy, though thinking it was a new twist on the category, this was exactly the kind of shot I was looking for! That there is one big hoof!

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/edff7c87.jpg

Second goes to sundance for the naturally painted hooves.

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ancyhooves.jpg

Third is the horse with the hooves in the air by scgaiter.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...rimyGrima1.jpg

Non-equine

Of course, first place goes to QuarterCowGirl who, at one time, went all out and decorated Jolene's hooves, I'll be she felt SO pretty!

Second is a nice picture of four goatie hooves, taken by Promise Ranch.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...h/hoofgoat.jpg

The dog has feet, too! Third is the picture of dogs' feet in the air by gingerfleguel.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...l/60ccf7dc.jpg

Congratulations to everyone! I enjoyed seeing all of your pictures and it really was a tough one to judge!

Not bad! Honorable mention the first time posting for a contest! I don't know why he looks so sad in that photo. I think it had just started raining out and he absolutely hates the rain.

I don't know how you waded through to decide the winners this month! I think you deserve a prize just for that!

And I have to clarify, that animal in the tot spot chair is my porch kitty, Cleo (The Plop-Plop).

Congrats to all the winners! Beautiful artwork!

photo contest

Okay, this technology thing isn't as easy as it looks! I fixed the winners' section, sort of. Look at it this way, it's easier for those with dial up now!
