June Photo Contest

Hi everyone! It's a bit late, but it's time to reveal the categories for this month's photo contest.

Kick up your heels - I love the action shots. I'd love to see some running, bucking, kicking and playing. (Not limited to horses)

Mischevious behavior - Our horses (and other critters) get themselves into trouble all the time. Get their picture! For this category, I want to see critters doing strange or funny things, or in places they shouldn't be...

Gimme face - I want to see faces, up close!

Each category will be split. This is HorseTopia, so under each one there will be a sub-category for horses, and a sub-category for all our other critter friends.

Photos will be judged upon the four Cs -
creativity, color, clarity, and composition.

Okay, here're mine.

For Gimme Face, this is Nickelby a three year old (recently aquired) Hungarian Warmblood stallion (not for long)

Then for Kick up your Heels, here's Artemis, a five year old TB gelding and his first time out after some stall rest, with a little help from my Jack Russell Terrier, Zeus. Not good on clarity, but he's moving pretty fast.

Well, I'm feeling sadly lacking in the pictures-of-horses department. But I have a few of my feline friends who fit the bill.

Mischievous behavior: Boxer prevents me from packing for a trip.

Mischievous behavior: Pluma doesn't quite understand get the concept of "toilet training." I had put a tin pan in the toilet bowl and filled it with litter to encourage them to use that area. I must admit, he looks quite comfy though!

Gimme Face: Tigger investigates the new digital camera.

Gimme Face: Boxer doing his best Robert Deniro, "You Talkin' ta ME??".
