I can't wait to see the entrants for the "attack of the bows" category.

I may have to contact my parents...we used to take a picture of my sister every year with a bow on her head. Went on for like 10 years! Glad we weren't the only ones....

The attack of the bows category is great! I'm a compulsive drive-by bow-er... I come by it naturally! My poor son is never safe at Christmas or birthdays! No one's safe!

Muttduck, you said that entries will be judged on clarity. What a perfect excuse to buy a digital camera ! Right now I am just using the snap shot button on the camcorder. So thanks a bunch! And Ebay here I come !

Shyfilly, your "winter wonderland" picture of the barn through the icy branches is AMAZING!

Thanks Promise!!!! And I love your Western Snowman!!!!

The day those photos were taken was a not so great day! Needed to take in the beauty of it...though we were without power for several days from downed power lines everywhere...had to stay at a friends house for a few days because of no heat!!!! Both those pics were taken in January this year...

Pasomystic, I love the picture of the red barn. It looks like a christmas card. Very pretty.

Pippy, those pictures are amazing! The photo contest is the other thread, this thread is for discussions about the photo contest...

I so wanted it to snow, so I could take pics! I even dreamed it snowed. Unfortunately, since it's been in the 80's, I think we're not going to get any by the deadline... Maybe none for the winter! I could take some pics of North Texas burning, thanks to the drought... The brush fires are a daily occurance lately, burning up hundreds of acres!

I'm with Promise Ranch, maybe I should take some pictures of the great, billowing clouds of smoke all around me? Or the smoke that settled like fog around my pastures yesterday? Could that be Winter Wonderland? Can you tell I'm fed up with this area right now? I had almost instant panic when I realized how close one of the fires was to me yesterday!!
However, I am okay with no snow!!!

Sillies!!! Winter Wonderland is to show winter in your area, not snow in your area! ALL areas apply to this one! Even sunshiney Bermuda and Key West! So what if your Christmas Tree was a Coconut Palm!! Show it off!
