BABY BUNNY PICS!!! What are its chances?

So, my friend, Ben, found a baby bunny yesterday in his yard. It's pretty small. I've seen smaller, but this guy's adorable! So- we got kitten's milk, and we are feeding it every few hours. I've had baby bunnies before, but I always let the mamma raise them. My question is, what are the chances that this guy will live???

Here's pics.
At first he was scared- then he crawled up and nested in my hair!

Does he have teeth in? I would go to a pet shop, find rabbit pellets/food and see if he can eat it. If not, soak it in the kitten milk and feed it as a gruel.
He may be old enough to make it! Good luck!
Keep us updated and you know how we love those pics!!!!

we did take it to a pet shop, and they told us that kitten milk was perfect. we can't get his little mouth open enough to see if he has teeth, but he seems to enjoy the kitten milk just fine. thanks!

I know next to nothing about rabbits, but he looks to be of pretty good size. Hopefully he is old enough to start getting some pellets or something of some real substance. Sorry not much help from here. Good luck though. He's very cute!

he is bigger than the bunny we raised. I think he'll have a great chance at living. Your has had a much better start than my little guy, named Mr. Sizzles.

You can also try soaking pellets in water and making them really runny and seeing if the little one will eat that.

He looks like a cottontail and usually once the white spot on their forehead dissappears they are good to go on their own. His is pretty small so he should be able to eat realy food. Are you going to keep it or release it once it gets bigger?

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I'm glad to know he's got a pretty good chance. We soaked pellets in kitten milk and he doesn't seem too interested, but he nibbles at it a little, so I think he'll get the idea eventually. We will release him once he's bigger. We already have a bunch of domestic rabbits running around here that we released, so he'll have friends. His name is now officially Nibbles.

Go pick some dandelion greens from your yard, if you have any. This is highly nutritious and one of their favorite foods. He is old enough to eat and would no longer be nursing very much. Continue offering the rabbit chow, provide water.
Good Luck.

They also like clover and flower leaves. The more you feed him "foods from the wild" the easyer time he will have adjusting when you release him. While he is living inside don't forget to clean his feet. At least until he is doing it himself. You can also get soem chick wire and make a small pen in your yard to put him in for 30 min or so a day. Make sure you stake it down well or he will push under it.

If he's a wild bunny which he looks to be they usually die once humans touch them but that is when they are fairly young. He looks to be a little older so he might be okay and live.

Good luck with the little guy.

He is cute.

My son rescued two bunnies about that size. Unfortunately, they didn't survive long.

Your rabbit will do better on puppy milk replacer. It's a different formula. You might want to try it.

i have raised a litter of cottontails my bunnys were smaller then that and still had their eyes closed. hes a cutie but the sites i read about them said that if they have their eyes open when you find them, they will survive without their mom. It could be that it was exploring, it will live mine did well, most of them did. they have teeth from birth(they just cant use them then) so it can eat solid food now. if it was youger and still had its eyes closed id say keep it but since its eyes are open i personally suggest letting it go. I already let mine go and i still see them from time to time.

heres a pic of mine when i first got them

about two or three weeks before i let them go
