Meet the coyote puppy!

hello all!

I've missed everyone, and I thought I would introduce you all to the coyote puppy that was living in the ditch under my drive way...

Isn't he cute?

Wow, he is adorable... how neat to have the experience of seeing a coyote pup!

Very cute indeed. Looks like he is wondering what the heck.

How does re-homing work with coyotes? Don't they have to be accepted into a pack to survive?
Or will it go to a facility?

How cool is that. How did you catch him!? Where is he going? A rescue? That is so neet. I am glad you saved him instead of giving him a early lift to doggie heaven.

The local vet said to hide his feed in various places on the ground and not in a bowl so he would pick up "looking" for food and not expecting it to be in a bowl served for him and that he should be able to go on and make it fine on his own.

Apaperntly he is about 18 weeks old.... And should already be successfully "scavageing" on his own

He was actually easy to catch... He was cornered in the ditch and just kind of hunkered down...

He is a cute little baby.

One dreary, rainy morning I found a baby fox lying on stacked bales of hay when I entered the barn. He wasn't frightened. He hung around for a while, then left.

How CUTE!! I think it is really good that you are rehoming him. You were there for him in his time of need, good going! He is very cute in a scared wild baby animal type way.

He is a sweetie, from my experience coyotes live with their family or no pack at all they are usually loners but the pups will sometimes stick together when mom leaves

He is cute but I don't know what I would have done had I found one. It would have been hard to kill a baby, but knowing that baby would grow up to be a vagrant pest... There's nobody around here that would think about rehoming a coyote so that wouldn't have been an option; I'm glad you were able to find something humane to do with him

Are they really that much of a problem in your area?

We have several around here but they never bother anyone, they do a pretty good job at keeping any dead animals or road kill cleaned up and I kind of like listening to them at night on the front porch....

For everyone else wondering: He is being rehomed, I would rather not say when or where for his own saftey...But he will remain wild
