Hummingbirds

I got this in an e-mail, thought I'd share!

-----------------------------------------------------

This is truly amazing. Be sure to scroll down then click on NEXT PAGE at the bottom of each page; there are 5 pages in all. A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to leaving the nest. Took 24 days from birth to flight. Because you'll probably never in your lifetime see this again, enjoy; and please share. The photography is wonderful.

Wow. Very, very neat. Thank you for sharing!

I feed the hummingbirds around here and I swear they start dive-bombing me when the feeder is empty. Sometimes, they just hover right in front of me! Then, yesterday, after I filled it...one landed on me! Think it was thanking me for the food?

That was awesome!!! I love the pictures and the comparrison size especially sense the pictures don't really give you an idea of how small they are. My step mom has tons of feeders out and i love to watch them.

I've rehabbed many a fallen hummer in my bathroom. They are such amazing little creatures! I have a good number of pictures of my girls with a rescued hummer sitting on their fingers before taking flight.

I like to think that the hummers that visit here year after year are the same ones as the last. They are so friendly, they'll dive bomb my head and hover right in front of my nose as if to say, "Hello! We're back! Thanks for having us!"

We've had hummingbird feeders out here. Usually we draw quite a crowd. The only way to describe thier antics is what my dad said "iIt's an all-day hellicopter battle out there!"
