Saved a wild bunny.

And I'm quite proud of myself!

I went out this morning to feed and heard this horrible scratching noise at one of the fences. The goats and horses were eating, the cats were eating, the neighbor's dog was tearing around, my dogs were in the house...what in the heck?

It was a bunny! He/She had tried to go through the no-climb on the gates and somehow got its entire leg wrapped in a hole other than the one it was trying to get through.

So...I manipulated it until it was free and off the bunny hopped!

Cute, fuzzy, soft bunny...it had better not start eating my green bean plants in the garden!

I am a fellow bunny saver, or should I say my DH. He was cleaning up some of our property getting ready to plant crops , and after he bull dozed a pile of brush he looked back and saw a baby bunny. He brough it up to the house and we are now taking care of it. We are feeding it kitten replacer milk and its still alive. Dh didn't have the heart to leave it, since he wasn't sure where the family was or if it had survived.

Hooray, would have hated for the neighbors dogs or something else to have gotten him caught up like that...maybe he will return the favor of saving him and stay out of your beans.

I am also a member of the baby bunny rescuer club. We rescued 2 babies a couple of years ago and later released them. My kids swear the bunnies we keep seeing on our property are the ones we released. Hopefully the favor will be returned by NOT going in your garden.

Good for you! Yes, he will eat your garden, but you can look on it as "feeding your rescue"! LOL

Yay for you!

I am sure that he will leave your garden alone, as repayment for you saving him. Or at least, he better!
