Updated pictures of ducks/chicks/laying box

I just had a dandy ol weekend taking pictures of all the critters. I thought I would share a couple pictures of the chicks and ducks. Also I have included a picture of the box we made for the hens. I seem to have misplaced the message of someone wanting to see it.
So with out further ado...here are my quakers...we have a crested duck....didnt realize that when we got it.

A Rhode Island and a Wellsummer pullet

The laying box (complete w/ a few hens laying)

A close up of the box

Everything is now living in the coop/stall. They go out all day...come back in at night...well w/ a little help from Bailey and I....they come back in. I swear the white/black chicks are not going to live long if they continue to sit in a pile outside after dark. Stupid birds....you would think by now they would have figured it out. O well

OMG that box is huge! Doesn't your husband get them from work? I like how you set it up with the boards slanted at the front to keep the eggs from rolling out, that's a great idea.

Yea its on the huge side. We built it with the idea that each hen would have thier own box...well little did we know at the time.....they only needed 5% of that box. THey share well. So its over kill...but it still works. Of course we have 25 more RIR coming in...so it may turn out to be a good size. More chickens....we had to do something we can't keep up with our demand as it is now. I hope that gives you an idea to at least start with!
