one of the cats where I work has four ears yes you heard me 4 of em. She has her normal everyday cat ears and then behind each one of them she has another ear they are very tiny and at first heard to notice since she's long haired. When I first discovered it I thought it was just a mat but when I started examining it I discovered they are ears. Now they unlike real ears don't have the canal and all the workings of a ear but you can most definatly tell thats what they are.
I have a picture of her but none that show them I will try to get one though.

Wow, I remember this thread! Neat that it was brought back up by you, Sam! I always love seeing the cows you work with, especially the cute ones!

I now have a one eyed goatie momma. She wasn't born this way that we know of, her previous owner said that she was likely injured with the owner before him, if that makes any sense. Most people are pretty grossed out at first, until they get to know her, she is just the sweetest thing!

I really liked this thread and I think it died too soon. When I saw the calf with no tail I knew I'd come home and bring this thread back from the dead!!!

Saw a calf once at one of those roadside freak shows. Poor thing had five legs and six hooves. The 5th leg was growing from his shoulder/wither (what do you call that on cows anyway?) and had 2 hooves on it.

You can play pin the tail on the cow, ... if the kids can catch it

I worked for a trail guide outfit in Alaska part of one summer, and they had a couple belgians, one was a "mare" named Herman, the husband one day asked me if I knew how the horse got this name as we were walking out in their lot to catch horses, and he said it was because it was a hermaphrodite. ***

When my daughter and I went to check out the local college's horse barn, we were given a tour and part of the tour was getting to see the main resident horse. It had been donated and was approximately about 5 years old I think they said. The horse was a hermaphrodite. It had all the female parts and then just below the "v" was a "p" (yes...in the back end) and also had all the male parts...the guide told us they had never seen it urinate so they don't know how it pee'd. The one time I don't have my camera on hand...I had never heard of such a thing...was very interesting...sweet little horse tho!! My first thought was...what happens when it goes in to heat? but I spose they don't have heat cycles...but it was a thought...lol
