Funniest thing in a long time

I went to see the horses tonight and there were these women driving up at the same time, saying that they always pick up the pecans out of Uncle T's pasture and just want to check the trees. Okay--I kinda vaguely remember him saying something about that, and he isn't anywhere to be seen, so I make the call to let them in as long as I'm there. So I tell them to give me just a few minutes to put up the animals. I get the horses put up and the goats---all except our one super friendly, super sweet nanny, Mary.

I figure Mary will be wherever I am. NOT. She sees new people and has to go say hi. I see her right before I hear the screaming.

I kid you not--these grown women are SCREAMING and flailing their arms and running to the car away from a little goat.

It was all I could do not to fall on the ground laughing.

I'm still giggling over it--but I didn't let them see me laugh.

We had company at our house one day and one of our guests wouldn't go out to her car because one of our roosters was standing by her car.

I don't know what they're going to do if they come by to actually pick up the pecans and i'm not there. Uncle T. can't put up the horses and Gypsy is lible to kick one of them (she's not mean, she just hasn't figured out that kicking ISN"T how we handle things we don't like) and Mary is going to want to be wherever the people are. For that matter, Gypsy LOVES people and is going to want to be where they are . . . oh my . . .i wish I could hide a video camera in a tree.

I can understand why someone would not go to their car with a rooster standing nearby. I was attacked repeatedly (ie: more than once) by a Bantam rooster at a barn where I used to board my horse. I spent EIGHT hours in the emergency room waiting to get a piece of broken off spur taken out of my thigh and a tetanus shot. I hate roosters...

Sounds like Mary was a little to friendly! Does she have horns? Just wondering as some people find them intimidating.

The question is will they be back?
