Pet Deer

For anyone that wants a laugh...this is a pic of my husband and a pet deer that runs around our neighborhood.....We've been out in this area for a year now and I had heard rumors about him but hadn't seen him till about three months ago....he wears a red collar too so no trigger-crazy hunter shoots him either. Now he's adopted us and won't leave the pasture... His best-friend now is my 6 month old brama bull

awwww...I had a friend many years ago that found a baby deer in the woods and kept it as a pet as well. It was a doe though. I can't recall what it's name was but it was pretty cool to go over and pet it.

My grandparents raised a baby deer whose mom was hit by a car. They named her Danielle (my grandpa's name was Dan) and she wore an orange collar during hunting season. I think I have a pic somewhere . . .searches. . .photobucket . . .searches some more . . .found it! ignore the sunburn I had. lol

That is to cool! I have always wanted a pet deer, and growing up on the farm I had plenty of opportunities, but my dad would never let me. What a party pooper

Hopefully that red collar keeps him protected once he gets bigger too...

Whenever I hear of someone hitting a doe or something or any deer I always tell them to go back, what if the momma had a baby!

Great pics btw, get more!!!

A local breeder around here is charging $125 per point. So we are looking into buying a fawn in the future.

Sad to say but I don't think a collar is going to stop some hunters. Hope he doesn't cross paths with one of them.

Great pics!
