Lil one's name is ... NUGGET.. My daughter and I were in there feeding him one day.. and She said. "hello lil NUGGET" and he made one squack at her and she said.. "Mama he knows his name!"

SO he will forever be know as NUGGET.. aka.. CHICKEN NUGGET.. He is eatin' and a poopin and the others are almost fully feathered.. so.. I did it.. I didnt think I could but.. I DID.

I am in the process of getting more pics, but.. I have the two oldest ones again for the week and they are almost FULLY FEATHERED!!- I'm so proud.. and they just got moved in to a cage so they can move around..and no more heat since they are featherd.. now they just get hand feedings and I am using my fingers now so that they are learning to eat on their own and I put a bowl of conversion food in there with them..

My baby- has all of his down and is soo cute and fuzzy right now. I will have to get more pics..

I haven't been on and posting but the prayers have been flowing for the birds...

It is so hard to loose one, but TEENy is singing with the Angels in heaven and the music is richer now. Sometimes Jesus seems to need his little ones back too soon for us. It is always what we do that makes a difference...You loved and cared for God's most tender of creatures and this baby bird came back to God blessed by your love and care. It is not humans that decide the amount of time, but we decide to care for them or not. You cared and now the songs in heaven are rich.

R.I.P. TEENy - fly through heaven for God has given you angel wings fully feathered.

Sooooo glad the others made it...you have done such an amazing job with them.

Love the "nugget" name That is such a cute name...

We await new pics and of the cage too....It is amazing how fast they grow up...They will be well tamed too....

Oh but that is just like kids...replace the loving hands that feed them for a yellow fuzzy

Soooo pleased with the updates - You will be blessed for saving these little tender ones. (Chicken tenders goes with chicken nuggets )

Thanks PJL and everyone else for all your well wishes.. Its hard to describe how I feel about this.. I think. .its the first time that I set my mind to do something that I was terrified to do. I had NO clue what I was doing and well its as if God showed me the way and didnt let me fail. My neice was looking up to me for help and I feel like I finally know my calling.. I need to be a wildlife rescuer.. I just havent figured out how. but.. I like the feeling of helping animals but then letting them go... Let me go get pics..

YOU"LL just be amazed

Okay first up is the...REMEMBER this photo..
All of them crowded together.. 1st us my nugget, then large, then medium.

Then today at 30 days for Large and Medium and 25 days old for nugget
1st up is .. Medium.. the nicer of her and large....

then comes Large.. he was the one with the gash on his head and beak.. and he is getting seperated from medium during the day as he is getting bitey..

and finally last but 1st in my heart.. My baby "nugget" he loves his mama and he always steps up on my finger and he loves to snuggle under my hair and play ring around the rosie on my neck.. and he gives bella-my pyr and my dd kisses!

My how they grow up quick..!

Need some helpful ideas on weaning these lil guys - well the two biggest ones.. they are around 30-32 days old right now.. I am guessing I have around 2 more weeks till they are weanable off the hand feeding formula?

HOW DO I DO IT? Right now I have a soft seed and a pellet mix for free feeding in there incase they start to get curious and peck at it. .but.. HOW DO I GET THEM TO EAT IT??? Their formula is thicker now and it fills them up longer , but they still scream at around 2 1/2 hours to be feed again.. I am going with 3-4 hours for the bigger ones.. and my lil one is at 3 hours..

any good websites that specifically say how to and when to ?
