I'LL BE HOME SOON
The cat called No Name showed up at the house of the Wise Farmer very pregnant. The big black mouthy kitten in the resulting litter of 4 was affectionately named Mouth.
The Abundantly Wise Man, whom the Wise Farmer (that's me

) often referred to simply as Dad, dearly loved cats. It was no surprise that he decided to keep Mouth.
The Abundantly Wise Man and Mouth became very close companions.
A few years later, the Abundantly Wise Man went to the hospital to have a risky surgery. As he was leaving, he told his cat Mouth, "I'll be home soon!"
Things in the surgery seemed to go well, but then a massive stoke occurred. For several days, the Abundantly Wise Man lay in a bed in the ICU. Labored breathing seemed to be the only sign of life. Organs began to fail and it was clear that the end was close.
A meeting was held with the family. The Abundantly Wise Man would be moved to a room to keep him comfortable. There the family could make the room more homey as final goodbyes would be said.
The doctors and nurses asked if there was anything else that they could do to help.
The Wise Farmer (that's me

) who had been rational and strong while decisions were made, now cried as this question was whispered tearfully, "Can we bring his cat to let them say goodbye?"
While it was not normally allowed, the hospital worked it out for us to sneak the cat in for a final moment together.
The cat carrier was covered with a blanket to sneak in the cat, but the Wise Farmer may as well of been holding a megaphone yelling "cat coming through" for as you recall this was the cat named Mouth. People laughed as the Wise Farmer tried to be inconspicuous while carrying the loudly meowing blanket covered object..
In the room, the carrier was opened. Mouth objected to the big vet smelling room until he saw the Abundantly Wise Man laying in the bed. Mouth lay beside his beloved friend and purred.
The Abundantly Wise Man's breathing became calm and restful. For about 20 minutes, the two deeply bonded companions just rested together.
Then, Mouth stood up and walked over to the hand of his best friend. He licked the index finger of the Abundantly Wise Man with a simple kiss farewell.
Dad sighed a deep restful and very familiar sigh. So many times the Wise Farmer had heard that sound. Often while reading a book in his big red overstuffed chair the Abundantly Wise Man would fall asleep and that same peaceful restful sigh would take him to gentle slumber. There was total peace throughout the room.
Mouth calmly walked to his carrier and waited to go in.
As the Wise Farmer, with the carrier in hand, was leaving the room, a final glance was given to the man simply called Dad. The words were whispered, "You'll be 'home' soon."
Moral = Life ends in total peace, when we know we will be "home" soon. The GREAT FARMER has gone to prepare a place for us and our mansion will be ready and waiting. When our bodies fail us, the GREAT FARMER will bring us safely HOME.
R.I.P. Abundantly Wise Man

.....The Wise Farmer is still caring for your Mouthy boy. So until that one day when again we will join you...rest well with Jesus. Life on earth ends in the blink of an eye, but it is not over...for we will be HOME soon too
